“I’m not making fun of you! I’d judge you if this was the type of friendship that judged, but we both know that’s not the case.” Noelle couldn’t help but roll her eyes, mostly because she saw so much of herself in Orian. “Can’t he get in trouble or something like that because you’re a student?”

“Right, yeah, probably. That’s why... that doesn’t leave this room. It was before classes started anyways.” She huffed, “I just didn’t notice until, y’know.. I walked into the classroom.” 

‘‘– I’m majorly jealous.’‘ There was no use in trying to lie anymore,  he figured it’d just be easy enough to come right out with it. ‘‘ So what if I am though, Ori? I just.. It’s.. ‘‘ Henry trails off, trying to think of a way to explain how he was feeling but he only shrugs and waves it off. ‘‘It’s no big deal. I’m over it. Come on, I’ll go buy you food.’‘

She felt herself smile a bit, because she never knew Henry to ever be jealous. Even back in school, she couldn’t pinpoint a time he had ever cared enough over a girl to care about what she was doing. “I wish you would stop doing that.” She mumbled, in reference to him cutting himself off. But instead she got up from the couch to go to the door at the offer of food, not wanting to risk her friendship with him.

“Ah, yes! Although I must confess, that was after my generation but an excellent show just the same.” He smiled. “Jersey girl! Very nice. So you know this whole place like the back of your hand, yeah?”

“Oh yeah, without the Snooki vibes though. I don’t claim any of that.” Orian ran her fingers through her blonde hair, nodding, “Every inch. I know every possible place that has nature, too. Those are my personal faves.” 

Waving her off, Henry shakes his off. ‘’No, no.. I’m not jealous. Not jealous at all, I’m.. ‘’ Shrugging, he gives her a smile and leans further back into his seat. ‘’Just.. didn’t expect to hear that, honestly. Felt.. kind of weird, I guess. Or.. yeah, ‘s whatever. I’m not jealous though.’

Lips pursed as she never lost his eyes, even though he wasn’t looking back at her. “I..” She didn’t want to pry, it felt weird not when it was always easy with him but now she was nervous. She shifted, playing with her paint stained fingers, “If you say so.. you just said..” Her lips pursed again as she trailed off.

“Figures. My phone is always giving me trouble. Oh well, we can talk now!” Lily said excitedly, returning the smile. “It’s actually not too bad here. I mean, it’s cold. Anything below seventy is cold to me, but it’s probably around the same temperature in New York.” She commented, with a slight shrug as she leaned her back against a few pillows. “My birthday was great! One of the best that I’ve ever had!–Mmm, pizza. Eat a few extra slice for me, yeah?”

“Has his family been making you drink tea for like, breakfast lunch and dinner? Do people sound like the kids from Skins out there?” She blabbed, rolling onto her back and holding her phone over her face now. She was grinning hard, like she was talking to a high school crush or something -- but Lily was her best friend. “God I miss you. I wish you were here to eat it with me.” She paused for a moment before she remembered, “I have something to tell you. Somebody we know kissed me right on my mouth..”  

If someone were to tell him that he’d be here today kissing one of his childhood bestfriends, he’d laugh– it’d seem cliche, and Henry was never one to even fall for the basic stuff. But she’d been there through it all, The good, the bad, and the ugly. As he stared down at her, his hand had came up to rake through her blonde hair, the feeling of her hair beneath his fingertips something he enjoyed. ‘’No, no.. it’s not that– I mean.. I ALWAYS thought you’d be a good kisser and I.. ‘’ He started to stumble over his words, brows furrowing in confusion but also frustration because he couldn’t get the words out he WANTED to say. He finally gave up, biting his bottom lip. ‘’I’m gonna kiss you again.’’ Henry whispered, this time leaning in again before she could utter out a word– lips pressing against hers.

Another grin, cheesier -- if it could even get cheesier. She wrapped her arms tightly around his neck. Orian had always been one for affection, maybe too much sometimes since she would hug strangers and didn’t have any sense of personal space. She nodded once, seeing the boy coming out of him that she’d known her entire life. Her lips molded back against his, surprised that the nerves in her belly had now turned into flutters. He was the one who confronted her through her abusive ex; and for them to have come together like this.. it had her head dizzy.

His hands grab at her own shirt as well, pulling her tighter into him once he was pulled back in to kiss her. Never in a million years did he think he’d be kissing Orian. The thought HAS come across his mind a few times before, but he never wanted to cross any boundaries with her. His lips had moved eagerly against hers– his hand sliding up to tangle in her hair as the kiss intensifies. ‘’Holy shit, Ori… You’re such a good kisser.’’ Henry mutters in between kisses, his lips curling up into a grin.

They’d been friends since they were kids -- she had seen him go through training to make it where he was, when he would just play basketball in middle school -- he knew her sister, her family. She would be lying if she said she never thought of Henry this way, because how could she not? Not many people knew her like this, stayed in her treehouse when she would feel guilty over her birth being the reason her mom passed. Everything. Her teeth grazed over his lower lip, unable to help herself, nearly giggling at his words. “What, you thought I wouldn’t be?” She mocked, holding the material of his shirt between her fingers. 

His brows raise as he doesn’t move from his spot, a hand going up to absentmindedly rake through her blonde hair as he stares off into thought. ‘’That.. was unexpected. I never heard that before.’’ Henry lets out a chuckle before moving to tilt her head up, his own head tilting to the side. ‘’Is this what you were looking for?’’ And before she could utter out a word, he had leaned down and pressed his lips against hers. It was a slow kiss, but he had pulled back momentarily as if to look her over to see her reaction– to SEE if she’d be okay with it.

“Really? You do. Like expensive --” But she was cut off when he tilted her head up, feeling her throat go dry for a moment as green eyes gazed up at him. As his lips were pressing to hers she melted into him, her hands finding his shirt to grab at, nearly chasing his mouth with her own once he pulled back. Her mouth opened to say something but then she was kissing him again, letting herself get lost in the affection.

“Rian, I look like a bloody swamp monster!” Max whined, making a very unhappy face in the photo the blonde managed to steal. “If I see that posted anywhere I swear to god, Barbie. I’ll hold your plants hostage.”

"Just say you don’t love me,” Orian pouted, putting her phone down on the couch as she dramatically crossed her arms over her chest, “Just because you’re crippled doesn’t mean you can threaten my kids.” 

“Oh my god no,” Max grumbled, pulling her blanket up over her face. “I haven’t even showered yet today. Get your selfies out of here.”

“Yeah, but look how cute you look with the puppy! Stop moving!” Orian pushed her head against Max’s as she kept the phone raised, snapping a photo once the filter was back on her roommate no matter her objections.
