“Honoka… give me one good reason why you’re shirking your duties onto me again…” Umi didn’t look happy whatsoever, and crossed her arms while glaring over to the girl. She better have a good reason for not being there to do her student council work this time.

“... Because you’re my best friend and you want to help me?” Honoka laughed, before putting her hands on the table in front of her.

「 ✑ 」 “That… sound you’re making.” There had to be a name for it, right? Akari thought so, as she’d heard others making it–like speaking but more soothing–but she still couldn’t quite place a finger on what it was. Since the easiest way to find out would surely be to ask, she decided to do just that. “It’s pleasant. How are you doing that?”

“Eh...?”

Honoka blinked a few times, ending her humming to face the other girl. “It’s... it’s humming. Haven’t you ever hummed before?” Honoka was shocked. What kind of person hadn’t hummed before? But still, she tried to put on a smile.

“ Hmm? Like it? I LOVE it~! “ The wind shinobi replied while smooth emerald hues continue observing the other’s OUTFIT, knowing she is a SINGER and dancer she really did put her effort in such good fashion design, honestly. “ Hey. Before you go to your concert. I do wonder if you made it yourself since you are a singer and dancer? How LONG did it took~? “

Honoka beamed at the praise. Oh, how Kotori would love to hear that. “O-Oh! I don’t make them myself- my friend Kotori-chan does! She’s an idol too!”

“Time for something good to eat~!” Halloween was a huge day for Homura. In addition to giving out normal Halloween candy, there were always people buying mochi and other traditional Japanese candy today! Sales were up as always and the whole family was hard at work (before Honoka and Yukiho would leave to go see their friends).

“A pink one? Okay!” Being with Honoka always made her feel good about herself, about life. It was something infectious about her, she was able to wash away any feelings of negativity with just that smile of hers. “Why don’t we start shopping for clothes?”

“Okay!  Okay!”  Nervously, the witch held her hands up, giving a nervous, fearful smile as she cautiously backed up, not wanting a fight to happen.  “See?  My hands are right here!  Right where you can see them!  I’m not an enemy, right?”

Honoka puffed out her cheek, lowering her battle stance.

“... Alright, I didn’t think you’d actually do that.”

This was awkward.

“Um, I’m really glad you like my manga!” she said as she reached into her own bag for her set.  On top of her name and a message, she started doodling a cute little magical girl underneath it.

“Oh!  Um, a selfie is actually fine!”

“Alright, awesome!” Honoka grinned when she saw the little magical girl under it, smiling happily as she tucked it away safely. “Alrighty then~!”
