The Fremont Bridge is a steel tied-arch bridge over the Willamette River located in Portland, Oregon. It carries Interstate 405 and US 30 traffic between downtown and North Portland where it intersects with I-5. Some drivers were getting irate with Joe Rowe, in the car with "Don't kill bikers or we drive" spray-painted on the side, as he slowed down for cyclists and didn't move for several traffic light cycles. "I really want to ride my bike but I don't feel safe!" he broadcast from his car. Cyclists, neighbors, friends and family of Alistair Corkett rallied at the intersection of SE 26th Avenue and Powell Monday, May 11, 2015,  during rush hour to bring attention to traffic issues there. Corkett's leg was amputated after a car hit him while he was riding his bike through the intersection Sunday.
