Zugzug the Orc warframe
I did my best to make Zugzug truly return to monke while having abilities that would scale well. Special thanks to @catboydivorce for helping me with some ability concepts, your input really improved Zugzug's overall qaulity!
Health: 150 (450 at rank 30) Shields: 90 (270 at rank 30) Armor: 475 Energy: 120 (180 at rank 30) Sprint Speed: 0.95
Passive: While Zugzug is sprinting, bullet-jumping, performing a jump-kick, or vaulting over an enemy non-elite enemies that get in Zugzug's way will take impact damage equal to 2% of their max health and be ragdolled and knocked away.
Ability 1: Smash, 25 energy. Zugzug charges on an enemy within 10 meters and delivers a mighty blow with his fist, inflicting 400 impact damage and sending the enemy flying. Other enemies in its path recieve 200 impact damage and are knocked down as they collide, and all enemies affected have their armor sundered by 50%. Zugzug can cast this ability again within 4 seconds for only 5 energy, and builds a combo multiplier of up to 5x when used in rapid succession. On the final blow in a combo of five, Zugzug becomes immune to status and takes 30% reduced damage for 6 seconds.
Ability 2: Slam, 50 energy. Zugzug leaps towards his crosshairs, up to 12 meters, and slams into the ground with a crash. Enemies in a 5 meter radius take 750 impact damage and are ragdolled, leaving them vulnerable to melee ground finishers. Zugzug can cast this ability again within 4 seconds for only 10 energy, and builds a combo multiplier of up to 5x when used in rapid succession. On the final blow in a combo of five the slam radius is tripled. If Zugzug lands directly on an enemy he will perform an instant melee ground finisher attack that deals 200% extra damage. Melee finishers extend this ability's combo window by 1.25 seconds.
Ability 3: Hunt, 75 energy. The thrill of the hunt courses through Zugzug's veins, piquing his bloodlust. For the next 12 seconds Enemies within 40 meters will have their outlines highlighted, making them visible even behind cover or while cloaked. Zugzug also gains an additional 50% crit chance on equipped weapons, 225 armor, +30% combo count chance, and +30% combo efficiency. Allies within 15 meters when this ability is cast will gain 20% crit chance, 100 armor, +10% combo count chance, and +20% combo efficiency for 8 seconds.
Ability 4: Battle Rage, 100 energy. For the next 12 seconds Zugzug's max health is increased by 250, regenerates 20 health per second, Smash & Slam behave as if they had max combo on every cast, and Zugzug's initial melee combo gains +20. If Battle Rage is activated while Hunt is active the duration of Hunt is extended by 6 seconds.
Subsumed ability: Smash (bonus for final combo in chain is removed)
Signature Weapons Yokai: A heavy-hitting semi-auto crossbow, the Yokai is Zugzug's signature weapon that fires incendiary explosive bolts. Deals slightly more puncture damage than slash, with very little impact damage and a guaranteed impact proc on hit and a radial explosion of pure heat damage. High status chance at the cost of low crit. High per-hit damage at the cost of slow fire rate. Moderate magazine size & reload. In Zugzug's hands this weapon's bolts have a chance to explode a second time after a short delay. Oni: A weapon fit for barbarians but wielded with finesse. A long and thick heavy club with a short grip, studded with violent spikes. Single-sword type melee weapon, deals mostly impact, moderate puncture, and low slash with high status at the cost of low crit. High per-hit damage at the cost of low attack speed. This weapon has a 30% chance to apply a slash status proc each time it applies an impact or puncture status proc. When wielded by Zugzug this effect is increased to a 40% chance.
Closing Notes: I would say that after a rocky start, I managed to achieve what I was hoping for with Zugzug. I really want to express my gratitude to catboydivorce for his feedback on the first draft, it allowed me to make some much needed changes to Zugzug's abilities that made him feel much more interesting and well-rounded.
