like he just knew echo was gonna pull some bs that day (as he should).

and honestly, the second go around it doesn't go away. but instead of being embarrassed of others, it's moreso towards himself if he reacts vulnerably to anything.

until he accepts the fact that he's changed from how he was, this sticks around. and it sticks around for awhile.

and omg yes absolutelyyy he would. but he'd have to basically beg and drag echo around (mostly through bribes via sweets) cause really, echo gets second hand embarrassment from it (mostly the thought of getting tangled up in it). i imagine it'll be something like this, excuse my crude writing:

fives: pleaseee echo cmon, i got a good lead from the medical wing of what's going on, trust me!

echo: you can take someone else, i don't want to get caught up in the drama. you know this.

fives: no, this is our thing we've got to find out, you're the only one i tell things like this to!

echo: then maybe we should just leave it alone.

fives: we could... but i still have that bar of chocolate from that recon patrol we did.

echo (sighing): .....fine. but we're going to the armory next, not where ever medical suggested you go.

fives (cheekily): i knew you were interested in it–!

(in this situation, echo knows the answers are in the armory, and then guides fives to it. afterwards once fives gets his answer and regroups with echo, he'll ask "how did you know it was going to be in the armory??" and echo will respond, "well everyone knows that the armory has (xyz)"

fives will balk at him before groaning over echo ruining the fun by finding the answer and giving it to him)
