Last night I went to Double or Nothing and WOW. Not my first AEW show but my first AEW pay-per-view and even though I had high hopes they were totally blown out of the water. Every match had elements that made me yelling and screaming in my seat, or jumping up to cheer, or looking away in horror. They've been my favorite wrestling company since their inception, but they reminded me why I love wrestling so much last night.
the origin of the golden☆lovers is, of course, incredibly romantic but also less acknowledged is that its funny as fuck. like Hey btw this canadian guy you dont know but says ur his favourite wrestler has had a crush on you for 2 years now and wants to fly to japan specifically to fight you and has filmed himself doing some bullshit in his friends garden to convince you he's worth ur time r you up for it. and ibushi was like well i havent got anything else going on. and then it turned out it was his fucking soulmate

There was just nothing like 2021 Orange Cassidy and Chuck Taylor tbh. When Orange Cassidy came out of the cake at Kip and Penelope's wedding and they had that vignette drinking champagne that looked like it was from a casting couch. We'll never get it back but it was a great time to be a bisexual librarian watching AEW (the main Best Friends demo)
Trent got married! A short video was shared publicly by Sue on her IG. I only screenshotted photos of Trent in his suit because I wasn't sure about showing his wife on here, as Trent has never posted about her publicly before. I just thought y'all would at least like to see him in his suit! Orange & Chuck could be seen in the quick little video but it's too hard to get screenshots. Sorry to ruin kayfabe lol but some of y'all will probably wonder if they went. (They didn't sit together but were close by each other)
Please never ever ever forget that CM Punk’s activism is performative in every possible way that it can be and him being a ‘progressive’ is not a legitimate excuse to like him. Nostalgia sure, wrestling and character okay, but he is not progressive and sells out his morals the moment you offer him money.
