The child, Nick, was a really lost. He'd run into things that were pretty scary. And considering this one was bigger than the other monsters he'd run away from, he was almost hesitant to go up to her. But he needed help. He needed a way home. So he mustered up courage and tapped her arm. "I'm, um, I'm lost. Can you.. help me?" He gave a hopeful smile, hoping she wasn't the type to try and fight him. He'd fight if he had to, but he was tired. He didn't want to fight. (orange-hearted) //yolo//

* It was Toriel who told her. Of course it would be Toriel, she was always the first to find the humans. But when the human left, it was Babylon that was sent to find him before he got hurt. So far, the child had faced smaller monsters and had withstood little damage. But it was time to step in and stop this before the child reached the barrier – reached Asgore. She had landed, looking for the child… But it seemed the child had found her, instead.
She looked at him, surprised, then knelt down in the snow to smile gently at him. “Of course I can help you, my child,” she said tenderly, warmth radiating from her, “I am Babylon. I, along with Toriel, am the Tender of the Ruins you entered through. We have been very worried about you, dear one. Come. Let me take you to safety. What is your name?”
* She smiled at how relieved he looked. Her hand was gentle as she rest it on his shoulder, smiling warmly. “It is a pleasure to meet you, Nick,” she replied. When he spoke of getting home, she looked a little sad. “How about we just focus on getting you cared for first, yea?” she replied instead, “Are you hungry? Thirsty? Need some rest?”
He almost went to mention that she hadn’t really answered his question at all, but then she asked if he was hungry. That was a big yes. He fidgeted with the orange bandanna around his neck for a second before nodding slightly. She was right, maybe he should manage his well being before going off and getting out. He could ask her again later.
“All of the above.”
