[Image ID: a simple animation of two human figures walking towards each other, with the one on the left throwing a punch and the one on the right parring it by interlocking their arms. End ID]
WHY HELLOOOO another challenge completed! I said I would try something more ambitious and I did! It didn't help that I got called to work more than anticipated and I ended up having to do this in 3 half days. Booo
So yep I had to settle for 8 scrawny sketches for frames and uncertain proportions and debatable movements, but let's be fair this is like my 4th animation ever and the starting point was one (1) static reference so honestly? I'm happy with it. Started DEJ with the goal of practicing and that I did >:)
The given pose reference ended up on frame 6 (see below), and I'll leave the initial sketch here too since it's a bit more detailed (see below but a bit to the right)
[Image ID: a frame of the gif above, where they already have their arms interlocked, and a sketch of the same image but more detailed, in which faces, hair and clothes are also distinguishable. End ID]
Oh, for reference, all of my DEJ23 entries be ~here~
[Image ID: two drawings of a woman sitting cross legged, holding a katana horizontally over the legs, and making a silly face with the tongue out. The first one is just the sketch, while the second one is coloured. The first one also includes an open book on the floor that's missing in the second one. End ID]
Day 21 and COLOUR JUMPSCARE
(I noticed I forgot the book after I exported everything. Oop)
This time I wanted to do something a bit more faithful to the reference material ^^ I think I ended up subconsciously making the proportions a bit more cartoonish (bigger hands, feet, and head), but all in all I like it. Took me around 3 hours of air brushing and blurring and picking fights with the color wheel (tried to avoid the color picker)
[Image ID: pose study of a woman in platform boots, seen from the back and from a very low point of view, resulting in a dramatic perspective. End ID]
Day 20. I'll just say WAH
[Image ID: sketch of three women walking down a flight of stairs, from a relatively low point of view. They're positioned in a triangular formation with one in the back and the other two in the front, and each one is looking towards a different direction. End ID]
Album cover vibes for day 19 >:) love the composition

[Image ID: first picture is a sketch of a woman seen from above, holding a katana high up with both hands, in an attacking pose. She's wearing a suit with a grid of blue lines, resembling a human anatomy reference model. Second picture is a drawing in the same pose, of the character Aleboshi from the Diamond In The Rough manga, a young-looking man with white hair, in black clothes and a flowing white cape, and the katana he's holding is on fire. End ID]
Day 18. Return of the accidental CSP cosplay! Had to keep the lines :D
Took a while both because of job hell and because I was inspired to actually make something more detailed. More shonen manga propaganda cough cough
[Image ID: sketch of two women, lying down, smiling. The one closest to the viewer is prone, looking at something out of field with her chin resting on her hands; the one behind is supine, looking at the other woman. End ID]
Day 17. This one screams PINING
[Image ID: digital drawing of a woman seemingly dancing with a raised leg and an umbrella in hand. End ID]
Day 16. I think I can feel my anatomy getting better.
[Image ID: sketch of a man aiming with a gun, on one knee. End ID]
Day 15 - hopefully I'll be able to upload at least 2-3 more of these before the weekend. Hate not having more time to play with the poses!
[Image ID: sketch of a woman lying on some kind of cloth, in a position between fetal and supine. End ID]
Day 14! All Straight Lines edition! (As straight as freehand allows at least)

[Image ID: pose study of a man with angel wings, standing while running his fingers through his own hair, and a drawing of the archangel Uriel from the manga "stan for salvation" in the same pose. End ID]
Day 13. So, I've been reading this thing...
[Image ID: pose study of a woman aiming with a bow and arrow. The point of view is on the side of the arrow tip, causing the picture to have some foreshortening on the arm holding the bow. End ID]
Day 12! June is not treating me well :') but we're past the halfway point of the challenge, yay!
AND I had to drop everything I was doing to finish this little Paola themed cactuar for friend's Twitch channel. He's gonna stream FFXVI starting tomorrow ^^
[Image ID: two sketches of a man sitting with his elbows on his legs and the face between his hands, smiling. The second picture has shading. End ID]
Day 11! LOVE this smile, it's so mischievous >:) not sure I made it justice though
Tried to shade with the lasso tool today. Not bad, having a reference definitely helps to make it feel more organic. When I try to do that without I never know where to add the details.
[Image ID: sketch of a woman sitting on an armchair, knitting. End ID]
Day ohmygodlemmecheck 10. "I won't make a second pic this time" I said, "I should keep it easy so I can catch up" I said.

[Image ID: first image is a pose study sketch of a woman in black boots playing a bass, screaming. Second image is a watercolor-like illustration of the pokΓ©mon character Roxie, in the same pose but mirrored, with a cubic speaker on the floor, in the left corner of the picture. End ID]
Day 9 of Draw Everything June! It was about time I started casually dropping some fanart in the mix c: mirrored because of course I went and picked the one fictional lefty bassist.
[Image ID: two versions of the same human pose study. The model is standing and flipping a coin in the air, and looking at the coin. She's also wearing a hat. The first picture is a rough sketch, the second one is coloured in a limited palette, and wearing a shirt, trousers, and shoes. End ID]
Day 8... apparently I'm not allowed to make two of these in a row without the driver dying on me. Binary tool it is, then!
