I’ve been hoping to translate this doujinshi one day ever since I came across only a couple of tiny, grainy scans of it on this fansite nearly 8 years ago. In late 2018, I asked @saiyanb​ if she, by any chance, had it in her collection and it just so happened that it was part of a purchase she had just made earlier. What a coincidence, really! The amazing person she is, she scanned and cleaned it in its entirety for us. However, since the first half of 2019 was rough for me and the second half was busy, it took me a while to get through it. I’m happy I can finally share this with you all in 2020! (((o(*ﾟ▽ﾟ*)o))) “Heart-warming Family 2“ was published in 1992 and contains longer, serious stories as well as hilarious one-pagers that almost remind me of TeamFourStar-humor. The main stories are: ”Our Life with the Androids“ which takes place in an alternative universe in which Cell never existed. Instead of continuing to hunt down Goku No.16, No.17 and No.18 end up at Capsule Corp. where No.16 enjoys taking care of baby-Trunks (much to the displeasure of Vegeta) and the twins help around the house. ”Teatime“ in which Bulma tells Gohan and Future Trunks why she fell in love with Vegeta. ”A Tale of two People“ in which Bulma goes on a short trip to figure out how she feels about Vegeta and the fact that she’s pregnant with his child. ”Life in the Future“ in which Future-Trunks deals with rejection from his mother who spends all her time inventing the time machine. and ”After that Story“ which is another VegeBul story that takes place right before the Cell Games. The short stories are all parodies of the original Dragon Ball manga. @loveveggiehead was so kind to scan this amazing doujinshi in 2017 so I could translate it, but since the book was still brand-new at that time, I waited before actually posting it online. rikono and pesogin managed to draw some wonderful short stories that are not only “sexy & cute”, but also utterly funny! It is going for intimacy between the characters, and thus the nsfw-part in it might come off as rather tame. Let’s be honest, the front and back cover of this ancient Raditz x Zarbon doujinshi aren’t really much of an eyecatcher. But what the book lacks in first-glance-charm, it all makes up with its content. ♡ The lovely, bitter-sweet tale - set during the time when Planet Vegeta got destroyed - is beautifully drawn with its art-style never straying too far from the original DB manga. The overall serious story is sprinkled with endearing jokes and some soft nudity. While the premise (Raditz, returning from a raid, landing on one of Freeza’s bases, coming across Zarbon who he seems to have a history with…) might be simple, the storytelling is effective in what it is trying to convey. This doujinshi was published in 1989(!) - one year before the “Bardock - Father of Goku” special was released. Hence there are some inconsistencies with nowadays well-known canon. (e.g. Zarbon’s presence during the destruction of Planet Vegeta and Vegeta’s age at that time. Raditz also briefly talks about his parents in this book, which is - of course - not canon at all.)

Book number 4 of the “Smart Women / Foolish Choices” series by Onix. 87 pages full to the brim with bitter-sweet tales about our precious Dragon Ball ladies riding on the emotional rollercoaster that being in love can be. This time around we start off with the fourth part of the VegeBul series, “Honey Moon” (and oh boy, it’s gonna get juicy in this segment), before we then move on to a story about Chichi dealing with her conflicting feelings towards Goku during the Buu saga. Following that, Gokua/Zangya, both of which were originally featured in the DB movie #9 “Bojack Unbound”, show us how much potential would have been in these non-canon villainous characters. And last, but certainly not least, the culmination of this book: Launch hunting down Tenshinhan in the mountains for some real talk. This is the most adult-rated thing I’ve translated, yet; lmao. Ever since I found this doujinshi, I wanted to get it scanlated. It’ll probably end up on one of those ad-infested hentai sites, but oh well. This is - by far - not a couples book. It’s just Nami fooling around, having some fun with her sailing comrades, Sanji and Zoro. It’s very nicely drawn, a little kinky, a little mean, and also has a nice little chunk of humor in it! You might notice a change of quality about 11 pages into this doujinshi. Unfortunately, I could only find the first few pages in HD (I assume they were scanned by a SaNa-only fan), but tried to at least make the rest of them look similar in color (the person who scanned those changed the orange hue of the original pages to red for some reason). Like… hot damn. Suzu’s drawings might be “sloppy” (to quote her on that), but they’re utterly beautiful and extremely captivating! ″Erotic Flame” might be one of Kuri’s best VegeBul doujinshi. Published in 1994, it manages to capture Bulma and Vegeta’s complex relationship in a way that is rarely found in fan-work anymore. Bitter-sweet and sensual, some might even call it “problematic” these days, but it’s also a piece of history. This R-18 book gets sold on eBay for horrendous prices nowadays, but you will get to read it in its entirety right here. An ongoing rain keeps interfering with Bulma’s plans for a very special occasion… To be honest, it feels like it’s been yesterday when this doujinshi got announced and I thought to myself: “Gosh, I totally need to translate this when it comes out!!” But in reality that was 5(!) years ago.
