A year later (open)
Morgana jumps. She had not meant to be over heard. "I'm sorry I was just musing that things have happened in the time I've been here. I mean in some ways it feels like I've just gotten here but in other ways it's been ages since I got here."
"Also nice to finally meet you"
Seeing the other jump produces a domino effect, startling the villager to the point he swears the soles of his feet leave the earth if only for just a moment. The side of his pot begins to slide down one side of his head, and he awkwardly tries to balance it with a shake of the head without using his currently preoccupied hands.
Wincing as the tin collided with the top of his mop of hair, his grip on his current possessions strengthened. Realizing a small amount of time had elapsed, he begins to speak, rushing with every syllable he uttered.
"Yikes! I sure hope I didn't rattle you too bad, Ma'am. Er... I certainly didn't mean to anyway."
Nevertheless, when she began to speak, he became at ease and his muscles loosened up, losing its previous tense state. He listened to her, nodding.
"Well, that's all a matter of perspective, ain't it? Kinda like the half-empty, half-full debate. To a littl'un, a year's a whole world of time! But to anyone who's gone through half their life, it ain't too much off the shoulder."
Chuckling, he added, "That's not even goin' anywhere near manaketes like Miss Nowi or Tiki. I'm sure you and Nah'll learn that in due time, huh? Tiki... She's yer ma, right?"
