Unnatural Links From Good Sites & Natural Links From Spammy Sites
John Mueller said to ignore the links on spammy sites and focus on the unnatural links. Of course, you can have unnatural links on spammy sites and/or good sites - but Google wants you to focus on the unnatural links.
He said "you can get an unnatural link from a good site & you can get a natural link from a spammy site."
Focus on if a link is unnatural, not where the link is placed.
To be 100% clear: DO NOT get unnatural links from any type of site.
You can get unnatural link from Business Insider for example because you contacted writer and offered him something in exchange and he concealed your link in his next article and you can get natural link from a spammy porn website that took your image that you released in public domain but you got the credit as the author.
Unnatural = any kind of influence on the linker.
Natural = no influence, no contact with the linker whatsoever and no benefit for him.

A page about a dinner recipe may use recipe structured data to list the ingredients and describe the cooking steps.
Markup should not be used to hide content not visible to users in any form, since it might create a misleading or deceptive search experience. For example, if the JSON-LD markup describes a performer, the HTML body should describe that same performer.
Content must not promote pedophilia, bestiality, sexual violence, violent or cruel acts, or targeted hatred.

Use rel="nofollow" for specific links
"Nofollow" provides a way for webmasters to tell search engines "Don't follow links on this page" or "Don't follow this specific link."
Originally, the nofollow attribute appeared in the page-level meta tag, and instructed search engines not to follow (i.e., crawl) any outgoing links on the page. For example:

Before nofollow was used on individual links, preventing robots from following individual links on a page required a great deal of effort (for example, redirecting the link to a URL blocked in robots.txt). That's why the nofollow attribute value of the rel attribute was created. This gives webmasters more granular control: instead of telling search engines and bots not to follow any links on the page, it lets you easily instruct robots not to crawl a specific link. For example:

How does Google handle nofollowed links?
In general, Google doesn't follow them. This means that Google does not transfer PageRank or anchor text across these links. Essentially, using nofollow causes Google to drop the target links from our overall graph of the web. However, the target pages may still appear in Google index if other sites link to them without using nofollow, or if the URLs are submitted to Google in a Sitemap. Also, it's important to note that other search engines may handle nofollow in slightly different ways.
