The last three years of my life has been very rough. These were moments you’ll question certain decisions you took in life. I tried to turn things around on my own and relying on people I thought could help, but hey, it did not. Despite the challenges, I set out in 2018 an ambition to be a Member of Parliament, borne out of a strong urge I have to help my people. We pushed resources and was blessed with friends who knew what we Could collectively achieve—friends who saw the passion for serving. In February 2020, on my way to my constituency, I had a near-fatal accident and sustained a bilateral femori shaft fractures. At a point, I thought I was not going to walk again. Several opinions suggested it was a difficult situation. Some good wishers advised me to give up on the ambition of wanting to Be MP, But the stubbornness in urged me on. I had a very supportive family and friends who continued to give me hope. My campaign team kept faith by going round with my message. My God bless them, and I pray He replenishes all they’ve lost. With just 11 days to primaries, I got to the constituency with my walking aide, and on June 20, God gave us victory. One that indeed showed His glory and mercies. I write this long thesis to urge you to be determined. Believe in God! Believe that He’s the only one who can heal and save us. Believe that his promise concerning your life will surely come to pass despite the challenges. On Saturday, August 29, 2020, the NPP - Mpraeso Constituency inaugurated its 2020 campaign team at Asakraka Kwahu. The operation 35K team is co-chaired by the Parliamentary candidate and the Constituency Chairman. The regional executives led by Jeff Konadu Addo tasked the team to unite the party and involve everyone to make the agenda possible. I assured the constituents of my preparedness of leading the constituency in humility and serving them at all times. The NPP, in the last three and half years, has embarked on several ambitious programs that deserve the commendation of all. The Free SHS Program, Planting for Food & Jobs, NABCO, 1 District 1 Factory, amongst others needs to be maintained. Yesterday, August 17, 2020, The President of the Republic of Ghana, @nakufoaddo commissioned and handed over the Secretariat of the African Continental Free Trade Area to the African Union (AU) Commission, at a brief ceremony, at the Africa Trade House. The African Continental Free Trade Area Agreement (AfCFTA), commits countries to remove tariffs on 90 per cent of goods, progressively liberalise trade in services, and address a host of non-tariff barriers If successfully implemented, the agreement will create a single African market of over a billion consumers with a total GDP of over $3 trillion. On Thursday, 13th August 2020, the President, @nakufoaddo commissioned seventy-five greenhouses and an Entrepreneurship and Innovation Centre, at Dawhenya, constructed by the Ministry of Business Development and the National Entrepreneurship and Innovations Plan. This is the biggest green village estate in Ghana, and, indeed in West Africa. The seventy-five (75) greenhouses here can produce four thousand, five hundred (4,500) tonnes of tomatoes annually, bringing in a yearly revenue of some eleven million cedis (GH¢11 million), and employing a total of two hundred and thirty (230) people. As part of activities to mark the International Youth Day, the Nana Boakye-led Youth wing of the NPP celebrated the day with a stunning delivery from Alhaji Dr Mahamadu Bawumia, the Vice President of Ghana. He highlighted several youth centred programmes and policies initiated by President Akufo-Addo such as job creation through One District One Factory, National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Plan, President's Business Support Programme, Planting for Food and Jobs, Greenhouse Village Initiative, Campus Business Pitch, Presidential Empowerment for Women with Disability, the revival of Anglogold Ashanti Obuasi Mine, NABCO, as well as other programmes, such as Restoration of Teacher and Nursing Trainee Allowances, Refund of Deposits of Collapsed Financial Institutions, Free Water and Electricity amongst others have impacted meaningfully in the political, social and economic lives of the Ghanaian youth. He also talked about how Ghana is moving towards a cashless society.
