Of course, everybody has accidents. I try my absolute best and that’s all that I can ask of myself. Veganism doesn’t eliminate your contributions to animal oppression, it minimizes it. At the end of the day, you’ll still shop at grocery stores with a deli, buy from companies that also sell animal derived products, and accidentally support those entities that you’re trying to hard to oppose. An accidental slip up doesn’t make you any less vegan, and shouldn’t discourage you. 

When/if I have children, they’ll be raised vegan. They’ll spend their entire childhood surrounded by animals, just as I was. They’ll be taught that all animals deserve love and respect. Children aren’t born with a concept of superiority over non human animals. It’s conditioned. I had to unlearn that concept, but my children won’t.
