Hey tumblr, I’m worms! I like superheroes, animated media and niche sub-genres of psychological horror. Oh, and worms on strings, of course!

I identify as female, but I’m not particularly fussed about pronouns. They’re just words to me, I guess, so call me whatever you like :)

Here is where I post my art, media analysis, dumb shitposts and the *occassional* reblog, but you can also find me reblogging lots of stuff over at @pile-of-worms (it won’t let me tag it properly because it’s a side blog, but anyway-), so feel free to check it out :D

I’m currently teaching myself to write fiction! It’s taking time, but I think I’m improving :) and I’m using my new skills a lsoh au where Seymour decided not to kill Orin; I’ll be posting updates here! (Feel free to send me asks about it, I am. Unwell. And could yap about it for hours.)

#yes this is about bend it like Beckham #that film plays out so well as a queer metaphor and then they had to make both girls straight #whilst having a running joke/character arc about one of their mother’s thinking her daughter is a lesbian #but at the same time platonic relationships can be close and complex too #inside of you there are two wolves #the one that wants more gay and lesbian representation #and the one that wants more aromantic representation/is very anti-amatonormativity

why must i limit myself to t’was and t’is. of course, we have the wise words of doug judy (t’wasn’t), but may i suggest more potential abbreviations:

t’isn’t = it isn’t

t’would / t’wouldn’t = it would(n’t)

t’ain’t = it ain’t

unfortunately it doesn’t work work was well with… well, anything that doesn’t begin with a vowel or the letter w. but i think it has potential.

Elias is indeed a rat bastard, but I love him so much. I missed him constantly during s4 :’) I need to continue my re-listen tbh, I got to the start of s3 and got distracted by another piece of media. S3 is arguably the best though, somewhat less depression than 4, less paranoia than 2, more Elias and Tim content, and plenty of The Horrors™

I love visiting people who have some kind of pet reptile because they're always like "would you like to hold the reptile" and I'm like "of course I would" and then the rest of the conversation happens with me just holding a random reptile and the reptile Has No Feelings about the situation. They always just sit there, probably vaguely wishing to return to their heat lamp but clearly exuding an energy of This Might As Well Happen. and then I put it back in its enclosure and go home and the reptile very clearly has no strong feelings about the situation.

One time, I took my (now ex) boyfriend home to meet my family for the first time, and my teenage sister met him by walking in the room unannounced, gecko in hand, and asked if he wanted to hold it. The poor guy was nervous enough, and the fear in his voice when he politely declined is something I’ll never forget. On the other hand, the gecko very clearly had no strong feelings about the situation.

the amazing digital circus is a show about empathy and what it does to you if you go too long without a support system so the show starts with sympathizing with Pomni (the most empathetic person, easy), ep2 is empathizing with an NPC in a game (no flaws), ep3 is empathizing with a man who has dementia, ep4 is empathizing with someone who annoys you when they're unmasking, ep5 is asking you to empathize with a rich white woman and so on....

so it all works up to the empathy boss - a bush era edgelord millenial trans girl who thinks she's Max from Sam & Max and is inherently unworthy of love

and some people failed the empathy test
