YOu know it's always really funny when these tech giants (Or whatever you call owning tumblr dot com) get really antsy about laws considering they pick and choose which ones they abide by.

Many of the pregnancy content you find here is stolen. I understand willing participants who create kink content while being pregnant is rare and that makes it difficult to find. However, this is not an invitation to steal photos and videos of pregnant people to use for sexual gratification on here. While probably not illegal (if sourcing from public social media), it is extremely unethical.

Now, I know the pool of willing content creators is even more rare when it comes to trans people. I also know how hard it is to find representation of pregnant trans people, and how special it is when you do. But, you have to realize, many of the pregnant trans parents you are sharing here have been victim to this theft before. They have been hurt by it, and some have spoken up about it.

I see people’s pictures float around, and can recall seeing them speak out about how people stealing and fetishizing photos and videos of their pregnant bodies has been traumatizing. I’ve seen people say it’s caused stalkers, ruined their pregnancy experiences, among other things.

One photo set I keep seeing of a pregnant trans man recently is from a creator who has broken down in tears about his photos of him having his children being used for “sex” —We must stop this.

I, of course, can’t stop anyone. But I need you all to consider the harm you’re inadvertently contributing to by spreading stolen pictures. If you wouldn’t do it to someone’s nudes, why is this any better (considering you have a fetish and are putting those images on porn blogs)?

There are a surprising number of "girl wakes up pregnant" videos out there, but the vast majority of them do nothing for me because they either involve gender bending or the woman dealing with labor pains.

If you’re posting real-time photos and updates of a fantasy pregnancy/labor, you really need to tag or disclaim it as fake.

What these fantasy narratives are doing is creating this expectation for all of us to share the same updates when we actually get pregnant. In a way, it’s almost like peer pressure/coerced consent.

I know for 99% of these blogs and their followers it’s kind of an unspoken truth that it’s fantasy. But there are people who will not realize, and those people will start demanding ‘progression’ content from actually pregnant people.

Try to keep this in mind: Some MOST pregnant people, even those with pregnancy/birth kinks, just want to be able to enjoy their pregnancy/birth without a lot of horny people bothering them for free content.

obviously you shouldn't be getting all your reproductive health info from kink blogs anyway, but like. a lot of people in this community want to get pregnant irl, and lying publicly about a pregnancy can give them unrealistic expectations for their own. in particular, i've seen a few people sharing fairly unrealistic "birth experiences" that could potentially lead others to believe irl childbirth will live up to their kink fantasies, which... doesn't sit right with me.

i've also seen some people claim their plan is to keep getting pregnant and giving their children up for adoption over and over, which would be really, really unethical. surrogacy is one thing, but the foster care/adoption system is already overloaded, and adding to the vast numbers of kids needing a home just to fulfill a kink is pretty fucking gross. please do not do this irl.

Please remember a few more things while spending time in preg/birth kink spaces online:

-In many places, home births and unassisted births are actively dangerous choices and could result in the death of a baby OR YOU as the birthing parent. If you’re choosing this type of birth to fulfill a fantasy (sexual or otherwise), that’s unethical.

-‘Orgasmic birth’ is not exactly a myth, but it’s not something that magically happens for most people. So if you want that, understand that it pretty much means you’re going to have to masturbate during labor or pushing. Is that something your partner/midwife/doctor is cool with? Also, after your water breaks, penetrative sex is a HUGE infection risk. Do not do this.

-Taking a baby away from their birth parent is *inherently traumatic*. For both parent and a child. Are you ready to tell your therapist about this, knowing that they may not understand and want to report to CPS? Are you okay with the intended parents and/or surrogacy agency being in the dark as to your true intentions for becoming a surrogate?

-Giving up a bunch of children into the adoption system is extremely unethical too. Especially for POC, disabled folks, etc.—there are kids who have suffered in foster homes for YEARS because the majority of adoptive families want white, abled, newborn babies and nothing else.

I’m sorry if it sucks to have your NSFW Tumblr time interrupted by this sort of heavy shit, but there’s a ton of really young adults (18-25) I’m seeing create blogs here and y’all need to understand that while having a kink isn’t inherently harmful, trying to make some fantasies reality can definitely be.
