ah, i do apologize, but no. it is meant to exemplify how desperate wilson is for a savior, for his parents; hes so exhausted and so hopeless, all he wants his parents, despite him being a grown man.
its that sentiment: "no matter how old you get, youll always be your parents' baby."
in sisyphean men, the dst project im working on, i made wilsons parents love him, and i made him love his parents; what better prelude to tragedy than levity:
a 33 year old man, reduced to a helpless child running to his parents' room for comfort during the dark night; crying as he did when he was but a babe, for parents who could not hear his pleas.
what a pity.

im not sure, but ultimately, thats their choice and i cant and wont judge that; i dont want to remove someone's agency and demonize them for something theyre allowed and encouraged to do. i didnt appreciate the way they spoke to me, so thats my point of contention, but that aside, i cant say much else other than i respect their boundaries.
i would be incredibly cruel if i shamed them for doing whats best for themselves.

I don't post often, but I really wanted to share this fic I've been writing. It's called Black Tides! It's a DST alternate universe set loosely in the early 1700s (1710 specifically) where Wilson, Warly, Willow, and William all go hunting for a legendary ghost ship named The Black Tide. I've only gotten to chapter 2 so far, but please give it a read if your interested!
