Wishing you a very happy GK day, sweetheart! 💖
It makes me sad how much he is ignored and that's not his fate alone on tumblr ... this website has gone off terribly during the past years but that's what I think! Thank heavens there are lovely people like you with real, long-lasting affection for a person not only the star in the spotlight, in this case one of the greatest artists of the 20th century as well! ♡
However, keep up your wonderful work, I always enjoy your posts and dedication to Mr. Kelly very much! ƪ(ړײ)ƪ
Happy Birthday Gene ... you must have been quite a guy! ・:゚*:・。゚☆❤☆゚・:゚*:・
Aw, thank you so much!❤️ You’ve always been so kind and thoughtful to me. I am most humble and grateful🤗 I always look forward to your adorable Donald posts. All your posts are put so well together, they’re wonderful!!! 💜👏❤️👏
The traffic on Tumblr has gone down quite a bit, I’m afraid. I don’t think my posts appeal to many people. There’s a few diehards like me left. Most have left for Twitter, FB, or the like. Those platforms just don’t appeal to me, I guess. Tumblr was for the fans, to express their love and admiration anyway they chose: art, gifs, fan fiction, memes, pictures, articles, videos…
With my MS, my full time job at the hospital takes up most of my energy. I’m usually exhausted. I’ve been reblogging more. Then an idea pops into my head, I’ll work on it a few days, a week, two…maybe more (?) It’s a bit of a creative outlet for me
All I know is watching GK makes me happy. And I wish to spread that happiness to all who agree🥰🥰🥰
Mitzi Gaynor on working with Gene Kelly in ”Les Girls”
“The motorcycle ballet in Les Girls with Gene Kelly is some of the best work I’ve ever done. The only reason I took the picture was because I would be able to dance solo with Gene.”
“Gene came to rehearsal with a photograph of Marlon Brando from the film ‘The Wild One’ and said ‘What do you think if we do a number based on a character like this?’ We were in a rehearsal hall at Metro with a piano and drums. And I loved it. I absolutely adored it.”
“I’m dancing with Gene Kelly, and he’s lifting me and throwing me around like a powder puff. I’m so in paradise, and he was so good, and so sweet, and so delicious. He was very, very, very attractive and he liked me. There was no romance between us, but he knew how I felt about working with him and that I would do anything to please him.”

Hello! This is a demonstration of a talking picture. Notice, it is a picture of me and I am talking. Note how my lips and the sound issuing from them are synchronized together in perfect unison. Singin’ in the Rain (1952) dir. Gene Kelly & Stanley Donen
I would like to go on record to say that this is one of the sexiest kissing scenes in Old Hollywood Movies. 🔥😘🔥 It doesn’t translate well to still photographs (believe me, I’ve tried 😂), but this is a pretty good one. 😉 Natalie Wood & Gene Kelly in “Marjorie Morningstar” (1958). 💕
