“You’re floating,” Vision said, watching the other, “I had thought you had wanted to walk! Could have told me so.” He too climbed into the air, “What would you like to know? I can’t say I know much about myself either.”

“He is probably at FentonWorks if I had to guess… you know where that is?”

“I can look it up,” Vision said, “But I rather you show me. I would like for some one I trust to be there, in case Daniel doesn’t like me…”

“Sure, it’s not too far from here, you don’t mind walking right?”

“I don’t,” Vision nodded. He wasn’t sure if the other would want to fly.

“Okay, good. I haven’t had my daily walk yet and I try to be pretty consistent with that.”

“Please,” Vision smiled, “Show me the way then!”

Steve fell silent for a minute. “But you helped destroy Ultron. You helped save us. Without you, we’d all be dead.”

“Well,” Vision said, “I thought, think him wrong about humans. Organic creatures entirely to be truthful. He was of mind things had to be forever to be beutiful. I know that nothing is forever but the Stone in my head and the five others that are out there. And I find things that may only last a moment to be the most beutiful… because you will never find it again.”

Steve gave the other a soft, fond smile. “I understand that.” He murmured softly. “I agree, in fact, even though my own life span seems long to me. I’m glad you joined us.”

“I would blame accidental cryo freezing for that part,” Vision said,” But again, I would never know. I am not Time, I can’t see all the paths.”

Natasha continued to follow Vision. Seeing him so cheerful while talking about Elise definitely brought a smile to her face. It was good, seeing him so passionate about the girl. “Whatever you like, you’ll be the one teaching me,” she looked thoughtful for a moment, catching up so she could walk next to him. “I’d guess outside would be more quiet. We would have a little more privacy.” 

“Vary well,” Vision said as he asked his friend on the phone line,” We have a table ready and waiting. Elevator is the fastest way up. After you.”

Natasha nodded and she stepped inside of the elevator, hands behind of her back while she watched Vision. He was definitely an interesting piece of specimen. The fact that Tony, Bruce and Thor had managed to create him was beyond her knowledge. 

“I dislike elevator music,” Vision sighed as the two waited. As most buildings in New York, this one was quite tall and would take a while to reach their floor.

“Why?” Natasha rubbed her fingertips along of her back, waiting inside of the elevator. She did not want to go up all the stairs, knowing Vision wanted to get up to the roof. 

“It’s boring and repetitive,” Vision said, “Even Stark’s. Though, all you need to do is ask Friday to change it.”

“I don’t,” Vision nodded. He wasn’t sure if the other would want to fly.

Elise didn’t agree with that but she didn’t care. It wasn’t like she was a mother. “Fair enough; now can we go please?”

“Yes, yes,” Vision said as he picked her up,” Off we go!” And so they flew though the roof… Phasing of course. “Did you know you had bats up there?”

She smiled and laughed some whilst hugging Vision’s neck to not fall. “No but good to know…Explains the random rattling…”

“Want me to relocate them?”

“So,” Vision said, turning the subject around, “Where may I meet Daniel?”

“Is that so?” He said with a bit of a nervous laugh. “That’s not very nice of him.”

“In deed,” Vision deadpanned,” The Stark line is not one of good father figures really....”

“Well, she’s not really adopted,” Vision admitted,” But she adopted me as her dad and I adopted her as my daughter. Her name’s Elise. And I must thank you for helping her as well. I would have no idea what to do with daggers really. At least this way she can defend herself a bit if I am not there.” 

“Well if she sees you as her father and you see her as your daughter but technically you are not related, you adopted her,” Natasha looked rather curious at Vision. Now that she knew more about Vision and Elise’s relationship she couldn’t help but to frown. It was still a little weird. “Why did you adopt her?” apparently Vision was aware of the daggers. Why hadn’t he told her, or any other avengers? 

“It seemed like the thing to do,” Vision shrugged, “At the time she was still grieving over her blood father’s departure and the person her mother had asked to watch over her had told her to ‘get over it’. I met her in the park, and we spoke of many things. one afternoon she said she wish she had er father back, for she was being teased. I told her that I could never find a replacement for her true father, or bring him back. But I could step in for him when she need it. And so she said yes to me being her ‘father’.”

When Vision made sure to tell her why he had adopted Elise she nodded. Alright she had adopted a small child herself, she could imagine why he felt sympathy towards of the girl. “That is the least thing I expected you to do,” Natasha admitted. She hadn’t seen him as a father figure. It hadn’t just popped up in her mind. Now that he had adopted someone she could see why he would want to care for someone. He had empathy. “She is quite stubborn isn’t she?”

“In deed,” Vision smirked, “Our arguments are the best because of it! I always win them because I get her to smile and laugh though.” He stopped outside a building, one with a roof top garden, and opened the door for Natasha. “Cafe is the top floor. Would you like to be outside or in?”

“She does mean well,” Vision nodded, “But she is so ill… I do not know what to do!”

“I can’t believe you’re afraid of her all together…” Elise muttured as she raised a brow.

“Everyone should be scared of mothers,” Vision said wisely,” For they have carried a heavy burden already. They can do anything they wish.”

Vision nodded, “You know... You are the first father whom I’ve met that I think is a good parent? Though, I don’t think I’ve good exsamples with my own... He did try to kill all of the earth.”

“You have a son?” Vision asked, “What is his name?”

“His name is Danny.” He said with a smile. 

“Danny… A nick name to Daniel?” Vision guessed, “It is a nice name…” And now he wanted to meet the boy. “You said he is a hero. What does he do?”

He nodded. “His mother named him, she is better with that kind of stuff. But he protects our town from ghosts. They pose a real threat.”

“Ghosts?” Vision asked, confused, “ I have never seen one before… Are they truly so dangerous? Is there a way I can help?” 

“They can be, but he has it under control. He is a very capable young man.”

“That’s good,” Vision smiled, “How old is he? perhaps he wouldn’t mind sparing with my daughter? or one of my team to help hone himself?”
