One Year. Here We Go!

It's the end of this project I know, but not all things are ending.  There will be one more entry with information about what the future holds.  Stay tuned.

Day 364

Since this project is just about over I've decided I like taking pictures of my surroundings (just not as frequently) and intend on taking actual photos with my actual camera.  It won't be as frequent but perhaps a photo or two a week.  When will this start?  Anytime now I guess. 

Sunday night was Fantasy football Draft night.  I'm mumbling something about Bobby Bowden from a conversation that's happening via skype.  You can't hear through the headphones unfortunately.

Those of you who read this blog must think I'm obsessed with the subway.  I guess I am.  Public transportation is so unique to this Texan.  I gotta say, that besides the delays and the maintenance detours, this system works really.  Besides all that, I really just enjoy watching people in the subway.  It's so interesting.   

Wait.   I just headed this entry Day 356.  Holy cow.

Another church picture.  I particularly enjoyed the hymns we played at this past Sunday service.  We do a mixture of old and new hymns.  This is great for me because I love the old hymns.  Growing up in a Spanish speaking church we mostly sang the older hymns translated into Spanish.  Also my mom would have a radio in the house constantly playing old church hymns along with old country and rock & roll tunes.  I guess classic hymns are sort of nostalgic for me and maybe that's why I love them.    

Every now and then Laurie will take an extra shift at her job that will have her getting out pretty late into the night.  I'm not comfortable with her walking by herself that late so I usually meet her at work and come home with her.  I'll just walk into the McDonald's around the corner from her store, buy a drink and listen to tunes while waiting.  Interesting people come in and out of there.  On this particular night, I transvestite entered the place and believe me he was dressed to impress.  Had it not been for his face you would never know.     

I know, it's a terrible photo.  You're thinking, what the heck is that?  It's just a bunch of stir sticks that fell through the bottom of a box I was carrying at work.  What's significant about that accident?  Nothing really, but accidents like this make me think about my work situation.  I love the people I work with and the actual job isn't terrible but I've been thinking lately about getting another job or changing jobs altogether.  It's mostly just for financial reasons.  Perhaps the stir sticks represent a mess of confusion.  Yeah that sounds good.   

There's something about these old buildings.
