A little snap of the stage setup from last night’s show with Ghyti at Vinyl. It was great to do some caustic noise-rock in one of our much maligned “pop-up” bars. It’s not that we support the closing of larger established venues... but the Casino weren’t interested in having us do free-form jams in the Chandelier bar. We’ve got no choice, don’t blame us!

Adelaide’s “Nardwuar” Mr Spoz Spozington came by, so there should be some video and a few more shots in a week or so, once he’s worked his magic on them.

My setup for the OTC gig. Cymbals: 22” Zildjian K Constantinople Medium-Thin; 22” Z K Custom Complex Dry Ride; 14” Sabian HH Fusion Hats; 6” Z Avedis splash (piggybacked on K Constantinople); 3 cymbal stack (see previous post). Drums: 18” Gretsch Catalina Club kick; 14” Catalina floor. Snare: 13x7” Zenzian Tasmanian Oak. Hardware: mixed Pearl and Gibraltar.

I’ve been playing drums for around 16 years and have had thick stick-induced calluses for most of that time. That didn’t matter at tonight’s gig, as I managed to break through the hardened skin and develop this nasty lil’ guy. #doingitright
