'yeah so uh we saw that you recently bought a car. so here's an ad for that car'

At the end of the day, ad spaces go to the companies that buy them. My personal profile doesn't matter because the car buyers bought a fuckton of ad space so now I get to see their stupid commercial even though it's transparently obvious that I do not own a fucking car!

Inversely, I actually did some extended online shopping for HEMA equipment but I'm not buried in ads for SPES because they're a niche hobby supplier so investing a lot in google adsense would just kind of be a waste of money for them.
