Through the Years → Princess Madeleine of Sweden (261/∞) 29 May 2026 | Princess Madeleine visited Gävleborg County and her duchy of Gästrikland. The visit began at the Sörby grave site in Årsunda, Sandviken municipality. The grave site contains around 90 graves from the Late Iron Age, which is the largest grave site in Gästrikland. In addition to information about the grave site, the Princess also learned about how storm Johannes, which swept across the landscape in the winter of 2025, affected the site and the ancient remains. In the evening, The Princess attended the Governor's County Dinner at Gävle Castle. Princess Leonore, Prince Nicolas and Princess Adrienne of Sweden were in the bridal party of Celina d'Abo - Chris O’Neil’s niece who wed Jake Giordano in Cambridgeshire yesterday | July 1st, 2023

It’s a modified take on the classic all diamond fringe tiara, with flared uprights creating an almost interlocking design with the smaller in between pieces. The whole thing is dotted on the top with round diamonds and sits on a base accented with a line of diamonds. Like many fringe tiaras, it can be removed from its frame and used as a necklace. It’s often said to have been a 10th anniversary gift from King Carl Gustaf to Queen Silvia, but the Royal Court never confirmed it. It’s Princess Madeleine’s favorite tiara and she also chose it as her wedding tiara.
