MY OWL HAS COME BACK FROM WAR

took me a while to find time to finish this.. this clip still lives rent free in my head 🫦

Must hold the bird’s hand to guide him home because he’s just gone through something terrible and looks incredibly lost.

Must hold the bird’s hand to let him know I’m here and to make sure he doesn’t use those lovely black talons to hurt himself.

Must hold the bird’s hand because he’s in a new place surrounded by loud noises and people he doesn’t know (and who kinda sorta hate him right now).

The situation seems so bleak but it’s Sinsmas and I need to cheer up my bird so a dance is in order (and totally not a ploy to feel you in my arms again…)

I’m here for you. I will always be here for you, no matter what. We’re in this together.

This new intimacy from Blitz warms my heart so much. He cares so very deeply for the people he loves. I wonder how many more times Blitz has reached out to Stolas to hold his hands during the most mundane of moments.

And I wonder how long it takes Stolas to finally realize what Blitz is doing. How long it takes for him to comment on it. For Blitz to sheepishly say sorry. For Stolas to say please don’t stop.

For them to smile softly at each other.
