[Blaine sat in the back of the cab, his leg bouncing nervously. His plane had come in later than expected, meaning that he'd had to wait an extra three hours before going home and more importantly, seeing Kurt again. His hands twisted nervously around his bag as he watched the city pass by, wanting to be in his and Kurt's cosy apartment and far away from the memories of his trip. Finally, the cab pulled up outside their building and he hopped out, eager to see his Dom again.]
[It probably hadn’t been all that long in hindsight, but there was something annoyingly strange about being so out of Blaine’s reach, and he could swear he could feel the hours parting them with every rattle of the air conditioning shifting on and off as the day dragged by. While lazing around the apartment had typically been coupled with the content feeling of being exactly where he belonged, without Blaine it was all just boring silence, just wasted time spent flicking through channels or the halted hand on Blaine’s door before he’d remember that he wasn’t there. A small miracle tuned Kurt in to a slamming door even in the tide of everyday noise, though, and he soon found himself slipping his fingers through the blinds to peer down the bricks of the building along the sides of the street, pausing once joy shot sharply from his heart to the hands that pushed the glass up to let in a gust of the warm summer air.] Hey, [he called down simply, and leaned on folded arms against the pane.]
[After a quick phone call Blaine had to twist his body to place the menus and his phone back on the table, disrupting Justice’s resting place on his lap. Mewing, she climbed up his side, batting at his chin with her paw as if to chastise him for shifting around. Once he was comfortably back in position he scooped her up, cradling her against his chest. He glanced up at Kurt, leaning in to bump their noses together.] I have a proposition for you. [He said, running his fingers down Justice’s back to soothe her.] I was thinking we could maybe take Gershwin on a walk in the park tomorrow? And then I could cook? [Blaine asked, not wanting to force his idea of what the day could be on Kurt.] If you don’t have to work, that is.
[He closed his eyes and relaxed closer, resting his forehead to Blaine's and slowly dragging his fingertips along the kitten's shivering little head.] Already thinking about tomorrow? [He asked softly, a hint of a smile playing at the more peaceful edges of his voice. Kurt was certainly the type to plan every bit and piece of his schedule from day to day, but as far as spending time with people went, that was always a blank space in his agenda. To have such a natural assurance that he'd be spending time with someone without question was as comforting as it was different.]
