Something I've gathered, is that almost everyone seems to think they only have a "necessary" number of shoes; however, everyone has a DRASTICALLY different idea of what that is.
For purposes of this post, I'm defining "shoe" as "footwear you'd wear outside the house", and "actually used" as "something you've worn within the past month, and/or that you expect to wear again within a year".

For me, it's a pair of steel-toed shoes that are what I normally wear when I have to wear shoes; sandals; running shoes; and winter boots. So, four pairs. I love how even though we don't have much evidence for it, everyone is agreed that Shang Qinghua has committed many political assassinations for Mobei Jun. Also that most of these were unasked for by Mobei Jun himself. Shang Qinghua just uses his author knowledge and also awareness of various political situations from his actual second life and goes, well that guy's trash. Not gonna lose any sleep over arranging for him to be eaten alive by flesh-devouring camels. And it'll cut down on the amount of treaties I have to draft to just kill him now and be done with it!
