On a Whimsey

Against a backdrop of a rushing river with conifer trees on the banks we look up into the sky to see nature's light show which we call the Norther Lights or Aurora Borealis

Some artistic licence given to what is known locally as the Cup and Saucer this building began as a Martello Tower built in 1804 on the west coast of Guernsey.

Trying new techniques is always fun and so I tried the one stroke technique to create these abstract blue carnations!

Imagine the quiet before the day begins as the sunrises and casts its glow over the mountain range and waters below. The colour stimuli casts a mixture of pinks, yellows, whites over the scene. Acrylic painted on glass to recycle an old print!

It is wonderful to see all the various colours of flowers appearing as the season moves on showing us what nature can provide in its abstract form on this canvas

Often sunsets are depicted so I decided to show a sunrise which was reflected on the water looking towards the city as its inhabitants stir to a new dawn.
