Catalunya y Francia hacen frontera, también lo hace Francia con Aragón, Navarra, Pais Vasco / Euskadi… Que significa que cualquier guerra entre España y Francia, Catalunya sufriría las consecuencias de la lucha, siendo muchas veces el campo de batalla de esta.
Ahora daré cierto contexto de cada hecho histórico en el orden del comic:
1. Guerra de los Segadores. Revuelta de campesinos catalanes contra el imperio castellano, en esta se unieron a Francia, para luego ser abandonados por el reino francés a cambio de Catalunya Norte para finalizar la guerra de treinta años entre España y Francia. (1640-1652)
2. Conquista Napoleónica, se suponía que Francia iba a conquistar Portugal y conquistó media península antes de llegar a Lisboa. Durante esta hubo un abuso brutal de la población, desde fusilamientos, a violaciones, a arrancar brazos. Abusos cometidos por los dos bandos hacía la población. (1808-1814)
3. Los condados catalanes formaron parte del imperio de Carlemango, viejo imperio frances, formando parte de la península septimania, que tenia siete estados. Hasta que se independizó siendo el inicio de Catalunya. (814- finales X)
4. Guerra de Sucesión española, donde se luchaba por el trono del imperio castellano entre los franceses y los austriacos, Catalunya formaba parte de Austria por los privilegios que se le ofrecieron, fue abandonado a su suerte contra Francia y España. (1701-1715)
5. Guerra Civil española, se firmó un tratado de no intervención para que los países no intervinieran en la guerra interna española, aunque fue ignorada tanto por italianos, soviéticos y alemanes. Francia envió armas, tanques y voluntarios a escondidas a la República por los pirineos. (1936-1939)
6. Corona de Aragón y Catalunya, luego de la indepencia del imperio de Carlemango los catalanes se unieron a la Corona de Aragón siendo los que ayudaron principalmente a conquistar territorios, hasta sin querer como fue Atenas en su momento. (1164 a 1707)
7. Segunda Guerra mundial, se había acabado la guerra civil española y al perder los republicanos huyeron de la península ante la persecución de estos por el dictador. Los republicanos catalanes huyeron, muchos de ellos, por los pirineos acabando en campos de concentración en playas francesas, siendo el más conocido el campo de Argeles. (1939-1945)
8. Actualidad. Tratados comerciales estables, buena relación en si. Aunque Francia no aprueba el movimiento independentista por el miedo que la Catalunya del Norte se una a este. (1975 (DICTADURA) - Actualidad)
9.Catalunya Nord, sigue formando parte de Francia, a sufrido bastantes abusos y no se le permitió hablar su lengua legalmente hasta 2007.
Catalonia and France make border, also France makes it with Aragon, Navarra and Pais Vasco / Euskadi… This means any war between Spain and France, Catalonia will suffer the consequences of the fight, been usually the battleground.
Now I will do a little of context of every event at the order of the comic.
1. War of the Reapers. Revolt of Catalan peasants against the Castilian Empire, in this they joined France, and then were abandoned by the French kingdom in exchange for Northern Catalonia to end the thirty-year war between Spain and France. (1640-1652)
2. Napoleonic conquest, France was supposed to conquer Portugal and conquered half a peninsula before arriving to Lisboa. During this there was a brutal abuse of the population, from shootings, to rapes, to uprooting arms. Abuses committed by both sides towards the population. (1808-1814)
3. The Catalan counties were part of the Carlemango empire, the old French empire, forming part of the Septimania peninsula, which had seven states. Until he became independent, the beginning of Catalonia. (814- end X century)
4. War of the Spanish Succession, where they were fighting for the throne of the Castilian Empire between the French and the Austrians, Catalonia was at the side of Austria for the privileges offered to him, he was abandoned to his fate against France and Spain. (1701-1715)
5. Spanish Civil War, a non-intervention treaty was signed so that countries did not intervene in the Spanish internal war, although it was ignored by the Italians, Soviets and Germans. France sent weapons, tanks and volunteers secretly to the Republic for the Pyrenees. (1936-1939)

7. World War II, the Spanish civil war was over and when the Republicans lost they left the peninsula before their persecution by the dictator. The Catalan republicans fled, many of them, through the Pyrenees ending in concentration camps on French beaches, the best known being the Argeles camp. (1939-1945)
8. Now Stable commercial treaties, good relationship in itself. Although France does not approve the independence movement because of the fear that Northern Catalonia joins this. (1975 (DICTADURA) - Present)
9. Catalunya Nord stills forms part of France, and has been abused multiple times, and have been banned to speak or write in Catalan until 2007.
