So I enjoyed this sketch study a lot more than I thought I would. Robin is really interesting and I loved painting the open book and runes. I think I will include a scroll in the next draft. Let's call this one Robin’s Fig & Scroll 🌿 — the Archaeologist’s Secret Garden.

I imagine her saying something like "Every fruit tells a story."

Why a fig? Well, it's an ancient fruit - one of the first cultivated by humans dating back 11,000 years. Ancient and rich in meaning, Robin’s fig is a scholarly snack. Deep flavors wrapped in history—mystery in every bite. Seems fitting, right?

Today I'm sharing my fruit study draft of Chopper. I think I should add cherry blossom petals, and I even started with using the cherry as his fruit. But Chopper looks so much more like a cute and furry little kiwi that I couldn't resist... what do you think?

I feel like he would say something like “I once tamed a sea king using only this fruit!”

Why the passionfruit? Well, it's tTangy and mysterious, this fruit is packed with stories. A little wild, a lot unpredictable—just like our favorite sniper.

(I'm using Procreate and digital Watercolor brushes to create the same painted look I first painted in my sketchbook.)

Most people watch their favorite shows and can spot all the Easter eggs, references to other movies and characters, and full storyline before their friends. Me? I watch my favorite fandoms and all I see are patterns, designs, and potential cosplays. I get so inspired to create that I can't stand it. One of my favorite seamless patterns came from this scene - the window in Kang's citadel at the end of time that we saw briefly in the season finale of Loki season one. I'll post the completed design and pattern collection on my website, soon!
