I’ve baked my brownies and cupcakes! Now I have to put icing on the cupcakes, then I’ll be perfect!

He smiled to her and they walked over to his moms place. He took a breath and reminded back of the day in the hospital. His hopeless feeling which came back up. Tears filled his eyes as he read his mothers name. He puts his arm gently around Rian's waist and stands closer to her. "Hey mom," he said with a small smile on his face, fighting with his tears. "This is Rian and," he looked at her. "I love her. She's my girlfriend," he said and looked back to the written name. A tear rolling down his cheek. "Rian is pregnant. We're having a baby," he said and a small smile came onto his face as it came out his mouth. "You know, I wish you could be here with us and grab our hands and tell how happy you are," he swallowed. Still not trying to cry. "But mom, I know you're here and watching us," he said. "I promise I will be a good dad, a dad I've always wanted to have but never had," he couldn't hold on his tears anymore. "I promise you mom, I do," he says and looks at Rian. Gently putting his hand back on her tummy. "I made a huge mistake by hurting this girl. But I ended up falling for her. And now that I have her hand, I won't let it go. I hope you're not mad at me, like I was mad at you," he keeps talking. "But after years, I try to realize you're really gone. But I just don't want to. I wish you could come back," he bit his lip roughly but ended up crying.

Rian looked over at Ethan with tears in her eyes. Seeing him so upset made her want to break down there too. She never knew Ethan's mother but she felt as if she had. Rian could never imagine losing her Mom and knowing Ethan had to go through that made Rian's heart break. Rian listened to every word Ethan said very carefully. Rian smiled through the tears when Ethan said he loved her. She knew he loved her.. more than anything but she just couldn't say it to him yet. She knew she would though, soon. She felt butterflies when Ethan spoke of the baby. Rian and Ethan were having a child together. It never really hit her that she was pregnant, there was a human being growing inside of her. Rian grabbed his hand, pulling it close to her. She bit her lip, trying not to cry too. She turned to him, hugging his side tightly as he spoke. As soon as Ethan started crying Rian felt tears fall down her cheeks too. She looked over at the headstone, deciding she should speak too. "Hi.. I'm Rian. I know I didn't know you but I'm sure you were a lovely lady. Ethan is an amazing guy, I'm very happy to have him in my life. He means the world to me and knowing we'll be starting a family together is just.. wow." She said, smiling from ear to ear. "I promise to take care of Ethan, make sure he is doing okay and I'll be the best mom I can be to our child. It's lovely knowing you'll be looking down on us as we go through this journey" Rian said, looking up at Ethan.
