Bad omens & other topics!

Thank you! Life has just been kind of busy lately, and with Omens being pretty quiet on the music front and no news about a new album, it feels like there isn't much to talk about right now. Hopefully we'll get some updates soon!

I don't get the back and forth between some EU and US fans. I also saw some say that they'd had to travel by car to see a show for 5 hours. I live in Europe and I don't think that's far at all. Not everyone lives in central Europe where you can take a train for some hours and then you're close to a show.

I know that not every band I like will come anywhere close to where I live and that's how it is. I'm still lucky in the sense that I can fly to other European countries to see them. If I where driving I'd be driving for days.

I love music and concerts so I always put aside vacation days and I have a savings account for vacation/concerts/experiences. When they cancelled the last tour we knew they'd come back. I totally understand wanting shows closer to you, cause not everyone has the opportunity to travel, but they can't play everywhere and for some fans they won't even come their continent.

Interested to know why people feel they needed more notice for the US tour? I've seen that said a lot across other blogs and sm.

I put money aside for gigs, and set alerts for my favourite bands, so I don't see this as an issue. Not directed at OP, but it feels like the band can't win. One minute people are hollering for a tour, then when it's announced it's not the right time, not the right state, or not the right support band.

I've seen people complaining they have to travel 5 hours. We're fortunate in the US, EU and UK, perhaps we should spare a thought for the fans in countries that bands never or rarely tour.

Can't we just celebrate B.O are touring arenas. That's huge for them.

If I remember it correctly, Davis said that Jolly can't address it because it might get his visa revoked and even though I think it's a bullshit excuse I still think he could've given some type of nuanced statement about the specific post and how it was an accident, I think that it was possible only if him or the band cared, but they don't, and another indication of that is the fact that Noah stated that he would like to play with Disturbed (even though there was a whole Draiman controversy with him doing you know what and supporting Israel). Even though I think that this is in fact a very heavy topic that does require certain type of statement and clarification I can also assume why they are avoiding it and what type of logic they are using for not wanting to post anything about it but what, actually who, pisses me off the most is the fans. It's absolutely insane to me that 2 people have written note app apologies for a band, that many of them were trying to brush this off like it was a pineapple on pizza type of controversy, the way some of them were actually mad or were against what's happening in Gaza but all of those morals flew out the window when the new single got released, and the amount of excuuuuseees people were making up as if it's a sin to ever criticize Bad Omens over anything, as if you ask them for an ounce of accountability Matt Dierkes pops out of your closet and personally beats you up, the lack of backbone and parasocialness of fans is what enraged me the most.

i think it kinda stopped being fun when the fun police came here and complained about everything that was said and also made this huge thing about deez. i think we had lots of fun until people came to complain about everything :( i miss it
