The worst part about the bitterness of Orionâs words wasnât the fact he said them; it was the fact that, at some point in time, Harris had thought them himself. He felt comfortable in the traditional views that Ignis had, and he was able to breath because they were no where near as controlling as his old pack back home, but even then; every now and again he found himself sharing Orionâs bitterness, especially when someone in his own packâ when someone that knew what he was capable offâ treated him like a prized porcelain doll that was meant to only sit out on display on some shelf because he was an Omega. So when Orion threw that bitterness at him as he walked past him to go into the otherâs home, Harris didnât argue it; he didnât even try to defend them by throwing a weak itâs not always this bad back at his friend. Harris simply nodded his head and listened to whatever it was Orion wanted to say about Ignis; whatever it was he wanted to get off his chest.Â
âThey might not like it,â Harris added on, agreeing with the concern Orion had for him being hereâ and for possibly even starting to smell more like the other, âbut theyâve put up with the fact I want to hang around you; and they havenât told me, out right, that I canât be your friend. Plus, you smell good.â Right now they would have dragged him back to his apartment, fueled purely by the unwarranted fear that someone from the Terra pack could take advantage of his relationship with Orion and wind up using Harrisâ or hurting himâ in some sort of revenge plot⌠but on a normal day his pack didnât seem to mind, too much, that he was friends with the Terra pack leader. âIâm not worried about getting hurt, Iâm with you. Iâll be fine.â He mumbled in reply with another shrug of his shoulders. Walking over to stand closer to Orion, Harris let his shoulderâs slump as he let out a bit of a concerned sigh. âI donât know what itâs like to carry the amount of weight you have on your shoulders right now Orion, but I do know that you canât take care of otherâs if you arenât taking care of yourself. You need to rest, and you need to eat actual food. You canât run yourself into the ground.â Rocking back on his heels, Harris puffed out his cheeks while he thought for a minute before pushing his breath back out as a sigh before speaking again. âOkay, so here are your options. You can either go sit on your couch and find something mindless, but entertaining, on Netflix and Iâll clean up a little before seeing what I can make for youâ or, you can still go sit down and all that, but instead of me making dinner you tell me what you want and Iâll order it from North Star⌠because they just started doing deliveries, and they have some of the best food in town. Itâll be my treat.â
Scent was something he never took for granted, it gave a lot away. It was something that could scare you, question who you are hanging around. It could turn you on in ways that drove you up a wall, just as it could easily relax someone and make them feel at ease with themselves. So hearing how Harris enjoyed his scent did make him smile, just a little bit. He still had his concerns, and part of him wanted to send Harris back smelling only of himself but he also didnât want to get the boy in any kind of trouble. âClearly I canât protect everyone, maybe you should be worried.â Orion just watched the boy, it seemed he had no plans on leaving. He could stand there and fight with him, but that would do him no good. It felt more like he were being scolded at the moment, it was new and had him a little amused.Â
âHarris- I... â He started but stopped when the boy proceeded to speak about his options. A hand coming up to run over his face, head shaking. He couldnât believe he was just given options. âNone of those options had me showering so you apparently do enjoy my scent.â He mumbled as he thought about those options. âWell, Iâm kind of forced to take that second option since you wonât find anything to make.â Shutting the door, Orion just sighed, this guy was annoying sometimes but he loved it. âYou order and surprise me, I can eat just about anything. You seem to know the food well if you say itâs some of the best in town.âÂ
