okay something i LOVE this season taught? accountability for your actions, even when you’re not in a good mental state.
catra is a great example of this- people have hurt her over and over again, and it’s chipped away at her own self worth and mental health. but, in the end, like double trouble said, it sadly is her own actions that destroy her. scorpia left because catra was projecting her unhappiness on her, her hunger for power to fill being alone pushed lonnie, kyle, and rogelio away. nobody made her activate the portal last season but herself.
and glimmer, sweet girl, was going through so many things this season- mourning, dealing with new responsibilities, being left out, feeling like nobody would listen to her- and while, yes, one can understand why she acted the way she did, in the end, bow and adora told her she was being a bad friend, and she had to face the consequences.
but you still love these characters and want the best for them, like you would a real friend. but i love that she-ra is teaching people to know when to walk away from a toxic friendship, and when to work things out. yes, your mental health may explain how you act, but it doesn’t make it okay.
i cant wait for next season for glimmer and catra to find healing together…. let’s go girls.
