As implied his project was both already losing fundingâthatâs the whole reason for those âshowingsââand very hush-hush. Only about handful of people knew about Kid and Baby, all of whom certainly were aware that they were probably just monster children even if they didnât want to be. So, the majority of them either quit or got transferred elsewhereâalmost like Dr. Leeâand werenât around by the time Kid got yoinked to another universe. At that point, it was really just Dr. Moore and a bunch of rotating interns or assistants trying to turn Kid into something useful with very little success because he was like, four. He certainly went a little crazy, especially since no one else seemed to care all that much. To be fair anyone who hadnât interacted with Kid and didnât know about Baby had no reason to believe it wasnât just an unfortunate loss of a historical monster artifact. That, and those who did know would rather pretend not to, in fear of incriminating themselves, especially during an unstable human-monster relations. I mean imagine that, things are already tense and then the monsters discover that there was an entire project seemingly dedicated to psychologically abusing two little kids? Nobody wants to open that can of worms, so everyone who knows is either investigating quietly or outright rejecting that they ever existed. Human government are obviously in the latter, trying to get rid of evidence for the aforementioned reasons. Monster government have no idea whatâs going on with what was supposed to be a joint project, but unwilling to push for the sake of peace. Dr. Moore is also going crazy for other reasons that are spoilery ;)
