Following Olivia

I spent two months traveling the East Coast and it was amazing. A TON of people were healed, rededicated, saved. God did a ton and my whole team and I had a blast. The Lord taught me what “real” Evangelism is and how to go about it. Which really means He taught my out to love deeper and be braver. Thank you God!

Now I am back in Orlando leading worship A LOT and helping out around the base for the next huge wave of students coming through this fall. 

Pray that the Lord would cast new vision and passion in my life so I can prepare more for my present and future ministry. Pray I get an opportunity to GO BACK TO INDONESIA!

Hey everyone!

It's been quite a while since I last updated! Sorry! This quarter has been so busy. We've had the most students in YWAM Orlando history, which is super exciting.

Not too long ago that I was planning on going to Asia on outreach for 2 months.

Unfortunately, I am no longer going to Asia. Through a lot of prayer I felt the Lord was asking me to stay back. Lately my health has not been so great because of a disease called endometriosis.

I have been making a lot of changes to my diet and trying out natural treatments and have not seen some  improvement but I realize I need to be more proactive and intentional. That would not be possible in the specific part of Asia I would have been going. While here in the states I have the necessary resources and am able to be strict with the food I eat, exercise.. etc.

That being said, I've decided NOT to go to Asia. The team was super releasing and the Lord has already brought some other exciting opportunities.

Come this January I will being doing the School of Evangelism. The purpose of this school is to prepare anyone and everyone to effectively communicate the Gospel anywhere in the world at anytime. I really felt the Lord say that this was necessary for my future ministry and would push me to see a lot of fruit while living the gospel out!

I'm really excited! Jesus has been really faithful to provide a new adventure even when I cannot go to Asia.

Please be praying for me as I raise money for this school. It starts in about 3 weeks and I will need around $3000 for the lecture phase.

It’s been two weeks since I landed in Arizona and Gods blessings have been abundant. I’ll admit, I had been a bit discouraged having been support raising for several months and still not reaching my goal. But seeing Gods amazing creation in a new light, along with His provision of new friendships, and a place of worship, has woken my ungrateful heart to make me realize how blessed I truly am. God has never abandoned me or turned His back, He has just simply lead my path into a different direction than I had originally planned. Which made me realize how much hadn’t been trusting Him.

I didn’t trust that the God who placed the stars in the skies and raised the mountains could provide financially for me AGAIN. I guess I thought that He couldn’t or that there must be something blocking the way of His provision. I just didn’t realize it was actually me who wasn’t ready to receive it.

Regardless of my foolishness God still chose to make my paths straight and open my eyes.

It wasn’t that he couldn’t provide for me, it’s just that He hadn’t yet. There are some unfinished things that I still have to do.

God has healed my heart and shown His faithfulness yet again, even after I’ve fallen short. How amazing.

Anyway, I’m happy to say that He has led me to another church that has welcomed me with open arms and more friendships than I could’ve imagined right off the bat.

Please pray that God would provide more opportunities to serve and be an instrument for Him. Also pray that as I’m making my way to staff with YWAM Orlando that He would continue to make my path straight!

P.S. Happy National Day of Prayer!!

The other day I met this girl. She's from a small village in China. She goes to school here in Florida and she's a real sweetheart. Anyway, she's living at the YWAM base for a little so I was talking to her about how she became a Christian. After all, she's from A SMALL VILLAGE IN CHINA. She told me that no one in her village had even heard of Jesus until a few missionaries came and told them about Christ. And that's how she became a Christian. It's as simple as that.

It almost brings me to tears how amazing that is. All we seriously have to do is show up and be obedient and God is faithful to work in people's hearts.

And that's why my deepest desire is to GO. Because I know that there's some girl out there, in a small village, waiting to hear the name of Jesus! 

Another cool testimony is that after over a year of prayer Indonesia has finally become a Target Nation (a nation we send teams to regularly and pray for regularly)! We will be sending our first 2 month team there for the Discipleship Training School (DTS) outreach in the Fall of 2015. We may have a couple small trips in between. Crazy how it's all happening so fast!

I did want to let y'all know I'll be spending some time in Phoenix with my dad (he moved there last year) before I move to Orlando permanently in June. I haven't seen my dad in over a year so it'll be great to be able to spend some time with him! 

 Please pray safe travels as I head to Phoenix and continued financial support. Right now I'm still in need of $175 of recurring monthly donations! So close!

And realize that no matter how mean these people might be, they don't hate me. They're not angry at me.

IT'S NOT ABOUT ME!

It's not about what I did or didn't do. And as silly as it sounds to some people, it all comes back to Jesus Christ. Even with the littlest battles.

I'm reading (trying to find time to read) "Kisses from Katie", It's about a girl that moved to Uganda when she was my age (19) and over the years adopted a bunch of kids... pretty much the book is about her life but mostly how Jesus shaped her life! Anyway, the forward of the book really spoke to me and I wanted to share it! Here's a little snippet:

"People who want to make a difference get frustrated along the way. But if they have a particularly stressful day, they don’t quit. They keep going. Given their accomplishments, most of them are shockingly normal and the way they spend each day can be quite mundane. They don’t teach grand lessons that suddenly enlighten entire communities; they teach small lessons that can bring incremental improvement to one man or woman, boy or girl. They don’t do anything to call attention to themselves, they simply pay attention to the everyday needs of others, even if it’s only one person. They bring change in ways most people will never read about or applaud. And because of the way these world-changers are wired, they wouldn’t think of living their lives any other way." Beth Clark in "Kisses from Katie"

How convicting is that? I hope to one day be a world changer like this, whether I'm across the globe or down the street.

That's why I'm excited to go back to YWAM, think it will be the perfect vehicle to learn how grow so close to God to the point where my needs aren't the most important. And I can definitely say there are staff at YWAM Orlando that have a lot of those characteristics. And moving there will allow me to learn from and serve alongside.

Anyway, I'm pretty darn close to my goal. I only need $200 more of monthly support to reach the minimum amount. YAY!

Please pray with me that God would provide the last of my support in crazy, amazing ways and in His perfect timing!

From the Fall of 2012 (and before) to this day God has radically changed my heart and made me realize what He's created me for: Missions. To me, being a missionary is about more than just traveling the world.

That year of my life, I dedicated to learning what it really means to be a missionary. My desires have gone from wanting to travel, to wanting to see the injustices of the world end. So now I do my part to see injustices like lack of clean water, gender inequality, human trafficking, inadequate healthcare, the poverty cycle or even a simple injustices like lack of spiritual freedom or pain or depression end while bringing the gospel of Jesus so that people may learn what true freedom is.

"Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom." 2 Corinthians 3:17

 I work with an organization called YWAM, specifically in Orlando. YWAM is called to make God known throughout the world. The purpose is to take the light of the gospel to the ends of the earth and see lives changed all over the world. My goal is to continue to train up this generation and see them sent into the nations or even into their own country.

My mission is to ignite freedom, boldness, and worship in a generation of world changers.

I have just returned from my School of Evangelism outreach. It was a stateside outreach on the east coast. I’m excited to share my next adventure soon!

I’m NOT conflicted on whether or not I’m going back to YWAM Orlando because the Lord clearly spoke that. My prayers are more questioning ‘When’ and ‘How’.

I've been thinking about the ‘How’ a lot lately. I feel like I've asked almost everyone to join my team in financially supporting me and I still didn't make the January deadline. It’s kind of like practicing really hard to make a team and then getting cut and asked to try out next time. It’s a little rough but the beauty of it is that Jesus has given me new opportunities!

I recently got a part time job at a restaurant as a hostess. It’s really fun and I’m able to be around people I would never normally hang around, which I think is a perfect ministry opportunity. Of course that takes gaining their trust and spending time with them - which I’m excited about!

I do, however, have a different calling. One that involves traveling to different nations (specifically Indonesia) so that all can hear the name Jesus and discipling people like me to do the same! God has obviously asked me to put that on hold for now. Which isn’t easy, but He never said it would be easy. So I’m laying my overseas mission work at His feet.

As for my update, I would love to be back at YWAM by April but my love and desire to be obedient to Christ is more important. If you DO want to support me, please let me know and we can set that up when the time comes for me to leave.
