Using watercolours I added two more dragon details to make the dress that more flamboyant and more of a dramatic effect that my client would want it for. I then went over in coloured pencils for it to be more bright & eyecatching. @barnsleycollegefashionrocks

Using a range of coloured pencils i have gone over the piece to create shadow & depth to bring it more to life, vibrant. I think it’s a significant improvement from before. @barnsleycollegefashionrocks

I found this piece significantly better than the original, the change of media really made sense of what I intended for this piece and it’s connection to the painting i used as inspiration. I feel this piece Is really successful compared to the pastels I used once before. @barnsleycollegefashionrocks

For this piece I wanted to make the material more recognisable through the media application, therefore, I enhanced the shadows and creases to show the shine of the satin material. This piece now sticks out more & makes more sense. @barnsleycollegefashionrocks

Using three shades of red, I used colouring pencils to make the dress the more vivid red I imagined and add dimension & depth so it didn’t look as flat. I think the outcome is so much better & more effective then before. I started to really not like this design, but, just working into it with another media really changed my mind. @barnsleycollegefashionrocks

here are 3 layouts I’ve created in preparation for my press release. Using my finalized logo and decoration related to the project, I believe the strongest is the third as it’s small enough to leave enough room for the press release but has effect art-deco decorations around the corners and as a main title decoration piece. @barnsleycollegefashionrocks

THE FINAL 12, I have chosen to extend the edit from 8 till 12 as it made the collection more fluid and solid. I will be going back on a few of these designs to improve the design be it adding depth or completely starting again for a different media. @barnsleycollegefashionrocks

Once again, using khleopatre, who ive chosen to imagine as my client, I designed a mini tulle ruffle dress from the curves of the 1920’s inspired fingerwave hairstyle she is wearing. Using the colour & shape, I used red rice paper to interpret this mini dress of tulle ruffles. Although this creates a new medium for me to work with, I don’t think it created the effect I wanted as there’s no definition to where each ruffle begins. I first tried using pastels over a red marker base, but, it didn’t show up great against the marker, however, it showed th shape of the ruffles in a good way. @barnsleycollegefashionrocks

Yet again using Charles Alston’s painting as reference, I created a satin bermuda short suit. Using the curvaceous shapes & colour palette of the painting I was able to create this design, also, using two of my trends: bermuda shorts and bright colours/patterns. I think the medium of markers was effective for this design as the colours look bold & smooth, I would try to apply it more neater in the future. Overall, I think this design is successful due to its interpretation of the painting and in general the outcome is aesthetically pleasing. @barnsleycollegefashionrocks

Looking at a René Lalique vase dated to 1920, I designed a silk jumpsuit using the shape and colour of the vase and three of my trends, puffed proportions, wide leg trousers & bright colour/patterns. To create this design I used my favourite medium so far, collaging, to create the jumpsuit and then marker pens for the long sleeved top underneath. I adapted this design by adding the long sleeved top underneath to be respectful the Muslim faith & the model. I think this design is successful as I was able to incorporate three of my trends seamlessly and the media was very effective to show all the shades of yellow within the vase. @barnsleycollegefashionrocks
