Truth be told, Roman still did not get it. However, he was not going to be rude to his future son-in-law about his eating habits when they were clearly more healthy than his own. âI guess if that is what you prefer,â he responded with a shrug. It would be hard to cook for Oliver, if he was ever presented the opportunity. After all, he was a werewolf and a mostly meat diet was what was best for himâŚalthough he tended to be a heavy meat and potato guy before his transformation too.
Roman nodded, âyeah. Makes sense. Do you um, eat eggs and cheese?â He never really fully comprehends the difference between a vegetarian and a vegan. The man knew there were similarities, but that was about it. âOf course, I would do anything to help my family.â In a sense his sentiment was true, he would do a lot. However, the one thing he needed to do he simply felt he was unable to do. âNo, not yet. But plan to own my property soon with the help of Corey.â
âYeah, each to their own right?â Ollie smiled, looking up at Roman for just a moment before back down at his daughter. The question made Ollie want to giggle a little but of course he didnât, not wanting to make Roman feel silly for not fully understanding. Why would he after all? Vegetarianism just wasnât something he was familiar with. âYeah, so vegetarians eat animal products but just no meat. So eggs, cheese, milk, honey - that kind of thing. Vegans are strictly plant-based, so no animal products. Iâm probably closer to vegan than vegetarian, but Iâm not too strict so I prefer to just say vegetarian,â he explained with a small shrug.
âYour family are lucky to have you,â Ollie murmured, reached out tentatively to give Romanâs shoulder a light squeeze. He couldnât imagine his own father being so willing to help - despite all Romanâs flaws, it was clear just how much he loved his kids. âCorey⌠Layneâs mentioned that name before but I donât think Iâve met him before. How does your family know him?â
