I can’t wait to parallel that scene to the ones where Felicity is by Oliver’s side but now he not only has her but he also has William.

Well… Good news first, is not the same jacket of 3x12 @jaspertown…

I hope Oliver always calls William ‘William’ and doesn’t abbreviate to Will–unless that’s something William specifically asks for. I just love how Oliver pronounces people’s full names*, and it’s his tone–not a nickname–that conveys the fullness of his feelings. We all love the way he says ‘Felicity.’ He’s crafted an entire Felicity dialect for every occasion. I would like to see this same sort of thing happen for William. Whatever character decisions are made, I’m sure Stephen will wreck me with his voice regardless.

I am not surprised to hear Stephen say that. (I also wonder if part of the reason Oliver calls everyone by their full names is because he’s been called “Ollie” for so much of his life. Names have power. They can conform you or trap you in an identity, as Oliver well knows with the stages of superhero titles he’s chosen to go by. In his eyes, “Ollie” died when his father’s boat went down. )

Oh absolutely. I fully expect a knife-twisting-in-the-gut kind of line. Maybe William gets kidnapped and through his tears manages to breathe over the phone, “Help me, Dad.” We see Oliver’s ‘Oh’ reaction just before the screen goes black. End of 6x09. Or something like that. 

Why is no one talking about the fact that we could get Dad!Oliver, Dad!Diggle, and Dad!Rene all dading it up together with their kids.
