Um, with Pikmin 4 coming up and needing things to do, I thought I’d revive my Olimar blog. I’ve been having a rough time lately and I thought I’d do something that makes me happy.
I really love it and have been meaning to start this blog over. I’m looking for Pikmin/Smash Bros./etc. folk who would be interested in me. Thanks!

hi olimar! is faster-than-light travel difficult or dangerous? do you get space sick?
As with all things pertaining to space travel, very much so! My job is extremely dangerous and there will always be the risk I do not come back.
I’ve been flying for years though, so I can’t say I get nauseous. I only feel tired, and often times lonely… I prefer to check my mail while the ship takes over.
Do you think the candy popbuds evolved alongside the Pikmin? After aall, aesthetics aside, they really don't seem to have any other purpose.
That seems to be the only logical explanation, but it has to be looked further into.
How do you think being a pikmin is like?

Well, not quite! But I am cleaning up my blog a bit and resetting my dashboard. All my old posts and interactions are staying so if you’re unfollowed, don’t worry! I’ll refollow anyone still interested in RPing with me!Â

Not to get too personal, but I’ve been having a very hard time lately with my life. In fact, a lot of things... have really changed about me since I made this blog. Growing up is a lot of trial and error.Â
But that’s why I think it would do me a little good now and then to try and enjoy the things I once loved. Pikmin is a really special series to me, and making this blog was a LOT of fun.Â
That’s why I’m gonna try to give it YET ANOTHER go. (I don’t think I’ll ever really give up on it, if you want to know the truth.)Â
I’ll probably make a new promo post soon to see if there’s new Pikmin/video game RPers who might be interested.

As far as for the botanist compliment, she had no intention of faking a grand smile whatsoever.
"It’s a perfect job for me! I always found the plant life to be so fascinating! It’s even better for me because not only am I allowed to even be around plants and fruits, but in times of new discoveries, I get to name most of them, too!”
"Some of my notes must have fallen out, but others I left intentionally. I wanted to help those after me, in case they ever crashed like I did. It was a relief to hear my efforts weren't in vain!" He also wanted his story told and shared.
About the Pikmin, about everything. These little creatures were a part of him now. It was him who discovered them. A petty and selfish detail, but it was his experiences that changed everything. It changed his own life.Â

Nod, Nod. Charlie seemed to understand, he’s heard rumors about how much the president wasn’t the best in hocotate.
"Yes, it is. PNF-404 isn’t the safest place in the galaxy, really… Again, you really deserve a break, Olimar. You’re obviously a hard worker. S-Sorry if these compliments are getting awkward-…"
He fidgeted awkwardly. Even as a captain, he wasn’t a good at socializing. At all, really.
The other captain laughed, his face lighting up instantly. "I don't think you're awkward at all." Olimar wasn't as social he looked--he owed that to his lonely job that cut into every aspect of his life.
Even so, he couldn't help but beam at Charlie's kind words.
"You're quite earnest yourself, Charlie. I'd love to hear some of your stories. I, too, am a man of adventure. ...Well, at least at heart."
Greetings, Miss Aran! How goes your space faring?
" How it always goes?"
Oh.
Awkward.
Olimar rubs the back of his helmet nervously.
"Is that so?" He stammers, "Ahh... I, I hope I'm not bothering you. I'm always curious about our fellow explorers. Considering my job and...circumstances, there's not much room left in my life for it..."

I always try to keep him as close and cute as possible while still making him "look his age". Hopefully you guys like it!

"N-No, No! Its fine, Olimar. Im just… not used to being touched… And you’re right. I should get some rest. T-Thank you, my friend…"
He sighed deeply and rubbed his eyes, giving a small yawn. He wasn’t used to socializing this much, usually. Louie was more of the quiet type, obviously.
Friends?
Olimar sat back stunned. It was near impossible to get a word out of Louie--the boy was just so quiet and awkward around him.
He couldn't put his finger on it, but something about hearing "friend" reassured the Captain. Perhaps he really was underestimating Louie. He was younger, but still just as important to the mission as Olimar was.
"No, it's nothing. But I appreciate it, Louie. Just don't push yourself. I'll be the one to report back tonight."
Friend. Louie considered him a friend too despite everything that happened between them. Count that as another concern of Olimar's put at ease.
"Rest easy, Louie. I care about you too."
Olimar had to resist every urge and instinct to cringe. “Yes, yes, very good…” He grinned weakly, feeling the corners of his mouth wrinkle.
It wasn’t that he disliked the other Captain. In fact, he was a valuable ally. And Falcon seemed to like him.
Their chemistry, however, was interesting…
"What, ah, what have you been up to these days?"Â
"You know the usual, winning millions, fighting evil."
"Fighting evil?" He asked. His forced grin wore down to something sincere. "What is 'evil' like in your home world? Must be admirable, working so hard towards something good. My life has no such direction. I wouldn't even know what true 'evil' looks like. I travel far, but apparently not wide. Not wide enough."

"Understood. If I was- Actually, I think its better not to remind you of the events. It probably might make things work. Besides, you’ve been doing this stuff with the Pikmin for a while, correct? You deserve a break!"
He nodded a bit, putting his hands behind his back.
"As for me, I am still hunting for fruit. Might as well get as much as I can."
"I promised to take a vacation--a real one--once this is over. My wife always told me I overworked myself." Though he nods, there's a weariness to his face. "...It's funny, isn't it? Even when I'm not shipping freight, I never get a break. Sometimes I think I'll never go back."
It was a joke, but maybe there was some part of him that believed it. Just talking about it made his eyes feel heavy, but it was alright. Everything always turned out okay.
"But I'm a hopeful sort, so I don't let it get to me. It's just a miracle we're all safe and sound."
He couldn't even pretend to say the same about their little friends. Those poor Pikmin. That never hurt less.
