Finished up this set of tables today. Century old oak with hand bent hairpin legs and an oil finish.

Decided it was time to make my first cutting board so I spent an afternoon on this end grain one.

Found myself unsure of how to spend my day so this was the obvious choice. I spent a while talking to a woman on the wharf about this summer and then I spent another while listening to a man play the banjo and sing about me for a line or two. #bikeandbuild (at Santa Cruz, California)

It's 6am and I can't sleep. This is for the early mornings and the milkless breakfasts. This is for the longest rides and the shortest days. The roadside naps and the peanut butter lunches with my best friends. The tallest mountain passes and the lowest valleys. This is for the build site moms and tears of thanks. This is for the simple goodness of a complete stranger. This is for head winds and this is for the hardest days. This is for canyons and switchbacks and the Wild West. The ride through Yosemite. We climbed Tioga Pass and reached 9945 ft. Then we rode the next 60 miles or so through the rest of the park.
