It was around 6:30, I was on my way home in a 'Bajaj', where the front seats don't have a door nor windows, so I was gazing at the sky to see the clouds scattered without a pattern and creating soft pink at the horizon. It was marvelous. It was that time where it suddenly changes to night within minutes so as it gets darker I noticed a lonely star shining bright on the pink-red-ish sky creating breathtaking scene in front of me and I couldn't help but tear up... it wasn't just the beauty that caused the tear, it was how I could relate to that star and for some reason that star felt like my dream. I feel like I'm the only one in this world, the only one who's confused by this world, the only one who lost her way in life, the only one whom life is slipping right between her fingers, the only one who seem to meet the wrong people, the only one who's tired and bored of this life, the only one who's dream is vanishing making no sense.... but I know there are lots of people like me but I just feel blinded, I don't see them. I feel like I'm the only one exposed, vulnerable to people eye just like the star: the rest are out there but they are just hiding or covered by the clouds. But more importantly that star felt my dream.... too far away from my hands, so beautiful, full of hope but no clue how to get there. I can see it, I can feel it, but I can't seem to grasp it. No matter how much I tried the closest thing I can do is looking at her through a telescope, just like how I can make some choices that will make my dream look like it's a step away only to return to square one. I felt my tear drop on my lips waking me up from my train of thoughts to realize I'm almost at my stop. I wipe my eyes with the back of my hands carefully so people wouldn't notice that I was crying. I got out of the 'Bajaj', paid the fair and take a last glance at the star that I mentally named it after me and went my way in the opposite direction without looking back. Sometimes it amazes me how a 7 min ride can take you on an emotional roller-coaster. I went home to face another sad moment but I guess that's part of life.
