Since Anne is a woman it’s a little different (speaking as a woman) but personally I think it is sad she doesn’t attend either because she should want to support her fellow ladies.

But since she’s a woman it’s almost like her decision isn’t as bad, in the non verbal social contract of society, if that makes sense.
