what animes i watched in may/june/july !
- Yatagarasu: The Raven Does Not Choose Its Master: ☆☆☆☆☆, Never thought a series id find on tiktok would bring me out of my 5+ year anime slump el oh el. so so so freaking good idk how they did it but they did. its great, its a must watch, i beg you!
- Mignon: ☆☆☆½, Surprised by how okay the plot actually was. not anything special but i will be tuning in for season 2
- Yakuza Fiancé: Raise wa Tanin ga Ii: ☆☆☆, As a die-hard fan of the manga, it was pretty disappointing. the monologues, which i find to be one of the most touching parts of the manga, turned out super duper cringe in the animated series. i never planned on watching it bc i heard the author was against it but the series had been on hiatus for so long i desperately needed to take wtv new material there was. not totally bad tho, just not great
- Classroom of the Elite: ☆☆☆, Binging 4 seasons is not for the weak. its like good but the harem is so bad but im gonna keep watching. i ♡ the horikita ibuki duo and i was so happy to finally see them come together in the finale!!!
- Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?!: ☆☆☆½, Went into it thinking the concept was cringey as hell but it was suprisingly cute and wholesome (just like everyone said it was)! main couple is great, no notes. the side couple however, yikes. tsuge is such a bum im sorry i am not into him. hes what i was expecting going into this series but thankfully he was just a side! i love and adore rokkaku he is the best character in every single episode and that is final
- Kowloon Generic Romance: ☆☆☆☆½, Another series i am a die-hard fan of! i think the anime was so well done that i lowkey prefer it over the manga ? i cried a lot throughout both tho so wtv that means...
- Oblivion Battery: ☆☆☆☆½, Basically a 5 star series. so good, so underrated, so funny, so everything. i wish haru said a whole lot more than just 10 lines but i guess theyre leaving that for the second season. also its kirishima's va!! i award this anime with all my yipees bc it was just too good
- Captivated, By You: ☆☆☆½, Absolutely adored the first pair, especially hayashi ♡. love the concept of how something so small can change the way you view a person. i think about ema and hayashi every single day. 2nd pair was cute too but i did watch their episodes on 1.5x speed bc i was running low on time so that mightve affected my judgement. trying to get through the author's other work - Let's Go Karaoke! but the age gap is freaking me out a bit too much
