His response was flat, and seemed to be punctuated by a cool breeze. He took one deep breath, and then another- he was trying to get a grip over himself. He really, really didn’t want to be doing this, but... he also didn’t just want to leave Fetch hanging like that, you know? But the silence felt like it was coming down in a wall between her and him.
He worked up the ability to look over at her. “Either case, I’m sorry about that. If there’s something I can do to make you feel better, well... I’m all ears.”
