Much like the temporary time frame of the annual Cherry blossom season, as bad as things may seem at this time, nothing is permanent and this too shall pass. The annual bloom has just hit, albeit without the usual celebratory reception. Hanami (Cherry blossom viewing party) is usually an imperative social gathering amongst Japan’s blooming Sakura trees across the country, a coming of season cultural event that has deep roots in Japanese history. In tandem with the Japanese Sakura (cherry blossom), we always host a yearly sale on the site to celebrate the light hearted spirit that surrounds the season. Feels strange at these times to host the usual sale that is rooted in positivity & joy. But not running it feels equally odd considering the importance the Sakura sale holds to our history at OD.
