sehun sat by the window of his apartment. his laptop was open, tabs lined with names of places he couldnβt bring himself to close just yetβwedding halls, outdoor chapels, seaside venues. he wasnβt sure when he started searching, or why he hadnβt stopped. the pictures didnβt give him answers, only feelings. and feelings were harder to manage.
he scrolled without really reading, wondering if heβd feel itβsome kind of certainty, a pull, an answer to a question he never said out loud. yewon had been patient, even when he hadnβt been. she never asked him to hurry, never pushed him forward. maybe thatβs why he felt the weight of getting it right. he had thought about it often in the militaryβtoo much, maybe. the idea of forever. not because it scared him, but because he wanted to treat it carefully. carefully enough to not break the one thing that always found its way back to him.
a quiet laugh slipped out, the kind that came from disbelief rather than humor. if anyone walked in right now, theyβd find him surrounded by venue ideas, wedding blogs, and a question sitting on his lips that he wasnβt yet brave enough to say aloud. he didnβt know when heβd ask it, or how. he only knew that thisβsitting here, looking at places that could one day hold something realβfelt like the closest heβd ever been to ready.
