Mr. L would reluctantly work together with E. Gadd to create a robot body for rehabilitation purposes (so says the Princess) and for morally-grey scientific purposes (so says E. Gadd). With Mr. L slowly getting actually rehabilitated on accident, more leeway is granted from E. Gadd, where Mr. L finally gets the chance to run off to the Flipside Pipe at Mario and Luigi's house and confront his once-fellow-minions.

[I actually wasn't originally planning to make Mr. L be a robot originally- but I had gotten stuck during laying out the story on why or how he would progress while either stuck in a painting, or with the freedom to just immediately run away.]

CHAPTER BREAKDOWNS:

Chapter 0 was the prologue, introducing the fact the Mr. L is a ghost who was trapped in Luigi post-Jaydes revival.

Chapter 1 was meant to be an intro to Mr. L and E. Gadd's dynamic, as well as the first showings of Mr. L's robotic body and the concept of it being used for rehabilitation by order of Princess Peach.

Chapter 2 would have expanded on Luigi and Mr. L, the absolute hatred one has for the other, and the fear of being someone you know you are not. Mr. L was also going to drop the bombshell to Luigi (and co.) that he was present for Super Dimentio's creation, and absolutely use that against him.

Chapter 3 was going to be more 'other character' focused, showing Mario, Luigi, and Peach's views on Mr. L and his very existence, when they know he was only a brainwashed version of Luigi. Views of pity, confusion, and self-guilt- or even a form of survivor's guilt, really. Mr. L is dead, after all.

Chapter 4 was going to be the breaking point, where Mr. L finally escapes to Flipside. Mr. L excited to see his crew- them doubting he's even the real Mr. L and calling him the same as Tiptron- but then... Nastasia's admission, and confusion. Of 'how is he here'? And of how he is not real. Mr. L spirals and runs to Jaydes in a rage, ready to spew acid at her feet and demand he be given the life that is his. But met with her face-to-face, all he can ask is if he is real.

And the answer is no.

Chapter 5 is the result of Mr. L's spiraling, half of it being planned for the fall down, and the other half with a more epilogue-styled pace. Mr. L, not exactly making peace with, but accepting Luigi is alive while he is not, would be the major pinpoint in this Chapter. And afterwards, he leaves to Flipside for good, still distant with his former fellow minions... and becomes a D-Man in training under Queen Jaydes.

That was the ending I always had planned out for Mr. L- kind of returning to where he was made, in a way. In the future, he would make amends with the rest of Bleck's minions, but likely never be close to Nastasia again more than an acquaintance. And he definitely would never be happy with Mario and co. making a visit to the Underwhere, telling them to buzz off when he's on the clock unless they're finally dead.

[Him and Luvbi do NOT get along at first, nor are they originally allowed to see eachother... But oddly, get a 'fellow mean girl' like friendship down the line.]

While the AU and it's story is vastly important to me, I did not have the time nor motivation to make it all the way through the story I wanted. Everyone's support has meant everything to me, and I hope you're all excited to finally know what I'd been planning.
