I feel terrible thinking about how frequently you see cases, especially when it comes to younger perps, with very clear signs of abuse and warning signs of what they were planning. The system failed both them and the victims of their acts, especially considering how shitty CPS is with how it operates. The majority of the time when I look into modern cases itβs: there was multiple CPS visits, multiple reports of alarming behaviors, and jackshit was done about that- then something terrible happened. Itβs sad how preventable it all is. I wish somebody wouldβve saved them (referring to perps, especially younger ones) from themselves. (*Iβm thinking about Colt, but this applies to multiple cases.)
I genuinely abhor so many new perpetrators. And it is not simply because of the frequently low to zero deaths, but because of their attitudes. βPics of me for editsβ- you will not be edited at all, and quite frankly half of the time people who say this never do anything. Itβs arrogant and shallow. If your only motivation is fame, what the actual hell are you even doing? The entirety of the internet is desensitized to this sort of violence. Especially in America. It wonβt be big news! Itβll be an article you see once on social media OR an event exploited to push some politicianβs narrative! And this has begun to spread to other countries more frequently- but guess what? This remains a truth. It remains a truth that new perpetrators will not be famous when their only motivation is fame. The new perps who have gotten popular had some motivation aside for that- whether it be social isolation, abuse or an unstable home life, sometimes in combination with that desire of infamy. But in those cases, itβs still NOT just for infamy! Most cases in this community that are popular are popular because there is, at the very least, one aspect that makes them interesting. And while there may be a handful of people interested in these cases where fame is the main motivator, itβs far from a majority.
I introduced my irl friend to true crime- more specifically E&D, because Iβd say thatβs a good place to start researching, since thereβs so much information out there about them. We talked and talked and it became a topic of conversation over the next few months.
Then there was a day at lunch and we were talking. This friend, whose also my ex-girlfriend *on good terms, asked if I would do βa planβ (the phrasing was different, but that was the question) and later when I asked if she was serious, she said she was half-joking. β¦ I answered no, of course, because I wouldnβt and will not do that.
But, moral of the story here, especially with 4/20 approachingβ¦. BE CAREFUL WHO YOU SHARE THIS INTEREST WITH, especially in person rather than online. You CAN be reported if youβre not careful, and that is NEVER fun. Stay safe out there.

Cupcakes for Dylann!
This girl named Breanna went to my school. Gosh. We were friends in eighth grade. She got sent to some boarding school or whatever (for valid reasons), but I wonder if she was π΅ππ? She was interested in true crime, specifically the perpetrators themselves.
