The actions of the DHS and other agencies are particularly chilling, but Portland Police have been assaulting, gassing, and arresting peaceful protestors for weeks. It’s bad enough that the ACLU had to get an injunction to order the PPB to not “target or disperse” journalists and legal observers.

Portland’s Police have been killing and assaulting our black and houseless population for years. I was raised an army brat and cis and white, so of course I never could imagine thoughts like a world without cops.

The addition of the DHS seems terrifying and new. But they are literally doing what the police have been doing for weeks now.

Living in Portland has made it impossible for me to be ignorant and naive any longer.

If graffiti and thrown waterbottles and barbequing to feed anyone who needs food in a park (SERIOUSLY, Google “riot ribs Portland”) merit arrest and charges - maybe the cold blooded murder of Black humans do to.

Stop going on trips and going to restaurants without masks.

Keep educating yourself and protesting and calling and donating and signing petitions.

Wear a mask. End white supremacy. Defund police.
