trevante was born to olivia and wilson in a humble little house in roswell, the only child of the couple but it has been known from the moment his parents married that his dad wasn’t exactly the honorable man he wanted others to believe. olivia has always been an angel and she tried her best to keep her family together. trev still doesn’t know what she saw in his father that made her stay in that marriage for so long but the woman loved him, there wasn’t much to be said about that.

trev looked up to his father until his teenage years, when the rumors finally hit his ears and he could understand them. after that, he pretty much did all in his power to stay as far away as he could from what wilson represented. he wanted to be different, a better man.

in school, he wanted to be the best. make his mama proud of the son she had. he had good grades, was good at sports and eventually landed himself a scholarship to a nice college, where he played basketball and thought about actually going pro with it. it eventually became his main ambition, to become a professional player, but when a spot was offered to him, he received news of his mom being ill. 

the news were given to him by his father, seeing as olivia wanted to hide it as long as possible because she knew that trevante wouldn’t want to leave in case he knew. and she was right. it wasn’t decision that he even needed to think about, choosing to stay and care for her. 

he started to reroute his life after he graduated from college, moving back home and having to think of a new future for himself. he worked as a personal trainer for a few years but he missed basketball, that’s when he realized he couldn’t really keep his distance from the sport he loved so much and he’s been working as a coach since at the local high school.

over the years, his mama responded well to her treatment and is now completely cancer-free as well as shitty husband-free, choosing to let go of the man that was just no good for her once and for all. these days, trev chooses to keep his distance from his father and their relationship is kind of estranged, even more than it was before the split happened.
