Taking a bite of her own fruit, she leaned up against the nearest tree stump to take a moment to catch herself. She was running on fumes alone at this point so she understood how the other must have felt when faced with this mammoth goal ahead of herself. Learning to wield the force was never a kind experience. To anyone. No matter how attuned you were to it.  “Happy to help.” Rey offered a smile as she scuffed her boot against the loosening ground beneath it. Loose underfoot was better for tactical manoeuvres anyway. “It’s temperamental at the best of times. You have to try not let it get to you. Centring yourself is much easier when you accept that the force almost has a mind of its own.” Her teachings were less formal than most, based around observations she had made for herself. 

Serena nods, taking in the bit of info. She’s still a bit hesitant about using the force. The whole concept of having powers was still something she’s indifferent about. “If you don’t mind me asking,” She looks over at her companion, “What was it like for you when you first learned you could use the force?” 

       IT  WAS  UNUSUAL  FOR  HER  TO  SPEAK  UP  AROUND  HIM,  so  his  interest  is  immediately  QUIRKED  as  he  turns  to  look  across  to  her.   ‘ oh  really?  and  why’s  that? ’

She wanted to say that she could practically feel his uncertainty. But doing so would hint at her gift with the force. Another option was to say that she had a gut feeling but that probably won’t go over with him very well. Instead she studies the guy, noticing his movements.

A NAME brings a human face to an otherwise ghastly situation. Wringing her shackled hands together, Rey gives an absent nod with a small smile. “Serena,” she repeats, as if to memorize the connection. “I’m Rey, but I don’t think I need to tell you that.” The scavenger shifts. “How long have you been stationed on this ship?”

She felt bad. But she knew better than to voice her own opinions on the matter. Elimination was the only way to deal with the spy. There was no other suitable pushishment. Serena’s expression falters but only for a small moment before returning to normal. 

Most were too bored or too scared to venture to places outside of where they might normally dwell. And as mentioned, there wasn’t necessarily anything of too much interest in this section. The easiest thing would be to scold her and to send her on her away, however, he decided not to. “I could show you around, if you like,” he offered politely. “Though you might be bored by the specifics.”
